COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rich and malty, Festie is now available year-round, and it is our tribute to the great German lager. Its name invokes the German tradition of Oktoberfest, while also paying homage to the end of the summer music festival season.

Colour of rum, very little head, weak taste of hops and a hint of fruit, not much of a palate.

Tasted in 2009 (backlog). Hazy gold in appearance with a small whie head. Aroma is of corn and grain. Taste is of corn, grain, malt.

Slightly hazy dark orange amber with a small head that completely disappears, no lace. Becomes so still, it looks like a glass of tea. The taste is malt with some ginger and bread notes, maybe a little mown field grass. Slight bittering at the finish. A pleasant but low-key brew; not memorable.

I tasted bread right off the bar. Not too bad but not the best selection from starr hill I've ever had

2.8
BREWMUSKCLES (2766) - New Jersey, USA - OCT 25, 2012
festie is a busy brew with flavors of fruit, malt and soapy hop in that order. the flavors are not substantial enough and tediously balanced. when the body softens some time after pouring the beer smooths out nicely but the flavors get lost. a decent session for any time and perhaps demonstrative for an O-fest.

Bottle. Pours amber with a white head. Sweet malts, grains, light toffee, and earthy hops. Decent.

Light copper Orange. Citrusy if anything. Sweetish and not bitter at all. Very light body, almost watery. Quick finish and no aftertaste, it just goes away. Decent, but unimpressive.

Pours a golden orange color with a thin white head. Aroma is weak and citrusy. Flavor tastes like amber malt extract with a background of dry grassy hops. Not amazing. Just tastes like an unimaginative homebrew. I expected better.

MadRobin (2989) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - SEP 14, 2012
On tap 1/2 pint at Gilly's Craft Beer & Fine Wine in Rockville, MD. Clear copper amber with small off-white head and very good lacing. Aroma of grain, bread, lightly roasted malt, caramel and spice. Taste of lightly roasted malt, bread, grain, caramel, light hops and a touch of spice. Medium/light body with medium/light carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
