Had this one at Bonnaroo. Finally getting around to rating it. Medium-bodied. Smooth but not a whole lot of flavors. Lightly malty, bitter finish. Not terrible, but nothing I’d try again.

Little disappointed. The head was nice. Hints of caramel, but that’s about it. Very little hoppiness, too much carbonation. Aftertaste is somewhat bitter and filmy. Could have just been a bad batch.

Pours brilliantly clear orange-amber with a big, dense off-white head that leaves lace all the way down the glass. Aroma is bready, malty with some toast character and noble hops. Flavor is a nice toasty-malty character with a counterpoint of sharp noble hops to balance it out. Finish is toasty malt and bread crusts, with some pleasant hop background. Body is on the low side of medium. A little hoppy for a Vienna, but a real nice beer with lots of Vienna toastiness.

This is one of my favorite local beers. Great taste for the price and easy to find in Central Virginia stores!

I thought this was pretty good. Very clean with a good malty taste. There was a little bitterness at the end, but it actually was tasty. It has an imperfectness that many lagers don’t have. Its very hard to explain, but these guys got it right. I am usually turned off by "lagers" but this one is one that i would love to keep especially during the summer.

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2009 12 ounce bottle from the brewery. Pours a golden color with a medium sized white head, average head retention and decent lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet graininess with some fruity citrus notes. Taste is toasted malts with the same fruitiness. I’ve had some infection issues with this one, but this bottle fortunately passes muster and makes for a not too interesting, but drinkable brew.

Bottle. Light, almost clear pour. Good flavor of light malt. Hops noticeable in finish. Easy consumption.

Bottle. A pretty mellow beer for a lager. Light, but has a nice malty aroma. Flavors of malts, caramels, and a tinge of hops.
