Tallahassee, Fl. - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Pours a light copper with a thin white head. Grainy aroma with some spicy notes. Flavor is a tad muddled - but interesting. Some brief spiciness with a hint of caramel, very faint citrusy bitterness. Moutfeel is slightly carbonated - just the right amount of liveliness.

Another Starr Hill brew where part (or all?) of the output comes from Old Dominion. Deep gold colour. Mild malt aroma. Dry malt flavour. Slightly smoky. There’s a touch of hay, but the hops are very muted. OK, but it didn’t really get my mojo working. On tap at the Starr Hill Brewery.

bottle 355 ml
Appearance: amber brew with mid average looking top, bit generic , leaving fizz after 30 seconds or so.
Nose: bready light nose ,bit citric with some hop. Fruity side to it.
Flavor/Palate : mid bodied. Mid carbonation that was neatly weaved into quiet soft malts. Slight fruity feel with citric hop finish.

Draft at the Schockoe Craft Beer Festival in Richmond, 8/26/06: An amber beer. Sugary mlat and an almost tangy coppery metallicness. Nice bitterness in the finish. I liked this fest-style beer.

mansquito (6695) - Nueva York, New York, USA - JUL 2, 2012
Total Wine, Chantilly 12oz ($2): Pours an amber color with a white head. Aroma is caramel malts and a bit of hops. Taste is mostly caramel malts. Subdued sweetness is present throughout. No off-notes. This is a simple session and seems to only want to be a simple session. For that, I can’t fault this beer.

Overall Impression: Decent lager, nothing overly exciting, but it is pretty drinkable...

Tea and hay aroma. Cloudy golden, medium yellow head. Malty tea flavor. Good balance. A very flavorful lager.

I was surprised how much I liked this one. I’m generally not a huge fan of viennas, but this one as nicely bold and assertive. Nice mix of caramel malt and and a dryish, hoppy finish.

Amber coloured body with no head at all to speak of. Aroma of caramel, toffee, a bit of hops and some malt. Medium-bodied; Malty flavour with some hops. Aftertaste is clean with a bit of malt leftover. Overall, decent, but not amazing! I sampled this on ’pseudo-draught’ at the Old Dominion Brew Festival 2004 on 27-June-2004 in Ashburn, Virginia.

Bottle courtesy of dcachur. Pours gold with a white head. Smells of dry malt, oranges. Tastes dry and grassy with a doughy finish.
