Bottle: pours a clear golden color with a big off white head. Aromas of grapefruit and sweet fruit. Taste is bitter, but has an easy drinking, almost watery mouthfeel. Normally watery is not what I want, but right now I actually am enjoying it... Its clean and fresh... Drinkable.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper body under a one finger frothy off-white head that left some decent lacing. The nose is more slightly sweet crystal malt than it is hops, which is usually a very bad sign for an IPA. Very muted citrusy hop character. The flavor is overly sweet as well, hella strong on the sweet iced tea crystal malt. Very minimal hop bitterness, this doesnt even come close to IPA levels of hoppiness. Medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation, slightly sticky and clingy on the back end from all the residual sugars. Awful IPA.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy orange-amber color with a small creamy orange-tan head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet and malty with notes of lemon and grapefruit. The flavor was bitter, tart and sour with strong grapefruit moderate lemon and lime. Long bitter, tart and sour grapefruit finish. Medium body. Ok.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2014 Pours a nice golden color with a little white head and a little bit of white lacing. A mild malty aroma which exactly explains how it taste, nothing to write home about here. Just missing a little something like hops

Pours a slightly hazy burnt orange color, with one finger of head that lasts a while, with good lacing. the aroma has lots going on, citrus hops, earthy hops, clove, maybe black licorice, along with sweet light to medium roasted malts. the taste is well balanced, a powerful hop presence, lots of spices, clove, honey, licorice, citrus, and other earthy notes. overall, this is a floral hop IPA, that is well balanced with citrus hops and a good malt backbone.

Bottle, courtesy of nimbleprop thanks! Pours an amber orange, nice clarity and two fingers of creamy sand colored head. Thick sheets of lacing and great head retention. Ripe citrus hops, grapefruit and light tropical fruit blend, a faint dank herbal scent, and caramel malt. The taste is soft up front, herbals and dirty florals. The citrus fruit is missing, but the malt base works very well with the florals. Good flavors, but mild in intensity. It does have a little more bite at the finish, but overall mild for a DIPA.

Bottle into shaker. Aroma of cereal, spruce, earthy. Clear amber color. Light sweetness, very bitter. Just what I would expect from an IPA. Very hoppy. Medium body, sticky, average carbonation, long finish. I would drink this again.

Pours clear dark orange with a large off-white head. Smells of citrus and pine. Taste is bitter, lots of resinous pine and hints of citrus. Medium-bodied with a slick texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Starr Hill Northern Lights finishes with a soft, tingly bitterness.
