DrBayern (1140) - Morehead City, North Carolina, USA - SEP 13, 2009
12 oz. bottle. Orange/amber body with a medium off white head, some good lace, and fair durability. Citrus and pine at the forefront in the aroma, with some dark toffee and slight fruitiness lingering behind. Medium body and carbonation, quite resinous, very dry palate. The hops assault comes early, overshadowing whatever sweetness the malt brings to the game. A strong citrus peel character dictates the lengthy, bitter finish.

UPDATED: JAN 14, 2018 Bottle at the Courtyard in MacLean, Capital One refresh. Clean IPA aroma of citrus hops. The flavor is clean as well, with bright apricot and tangerine. Dry finish, decent bittering hops. Basic but cleanly fermented and flavorful.

12 oz bottle poured into a pint: clear burnished brass color with minimal amount of off white bubbles. The aroma is grapefruity, piny, earthy and dank. It’s bitter, orange, caramel. It’s creamy and effervescent.

At Dave Matthews concert at Mann. Drinking from can, but still can tell the nose is pine. Taste is some citrus, but some solid bitter hops on the finish. Good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft Third of a Pint at GBBF 2010 (Day 1), Earl’s Court, London Aug 2010 - Amber in colour. Hoppy; fruity citrus hops. Fruity; citrus grapefruit and orange. Malty; solid malt backbone. Fairly bitter but not too extreme. Very drinkable. (2010-08)

A very malty IPA in comparison to others in the market. The malts give way to a pine flavor with a hint of citrus. The finish is slightly bitter with more notes of pine and a little grass, but the bitterness isn’t overpowering. Overall, it’s an enjoyable IPA that I would have again, but wouldn’t go out of my way to acquire.

NikkTwist (3409) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 23, 2017
UPDATED: JAN 23, 2017 Draft at Irish Pol. Slightly hazy orange amber pour with a top of eggy white foam. Messy lace. Mix of slightly spicy caramel malts and woody hops. Notes of maple syrup, apricot, cinnamon, tangerine, dark honey and toasted wheat. Sort of works but the malts overpower the hide the complexity of the hops.
