Cask version. Dark golden color and very interesting aroma that reminded me of sweet tarts! Medium body and plentiful lacing. Fruity-sweet initial taste that is sort of candyish, but then turns sufficiently light bitter to offset sweetness. Very different, but good! argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 17, 2012

UPDATED: FEB 4, 2013 Serving: Draft.
Appearance: Nice gold color with a creamy, white head.
Aroma: Yeast, light fruit notes, some dough.
Flavor: Tart with sweet malt, floral notes, and some dough.
Palate: Medium-high carbonation with a light mouthfeel and a medium-short, tart finish.
Overall: Not the best example of the style. It lacks the subtleties and nuances in the better examples.

Update 07.12.12: Serving: Cask. Cloudy light orange pour with a creamy, off white head. Very floral nose. Spicy notes hit the tongue first with a good bit of yeast, orange, and lemon peel following up. Light body. Rather tasty with much greater depth.
Update 02.04.13. Serving: Bottle. Closer to the original review with the flavor having some floral notes and spiciness on the palate, but a little flat flavor wise.
Unlabeled bottle from Taylor Manning. Thanks Taylor! Pours a lasting, white ring of head with a hazy, golden body. Aromas of grass, zest, and yeast. Flavor is dough, zest, some fruity sweetness, spicy bite flavors. Dry and zesty finish. Drake (14358) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 20, 2009
Fresh growler from the brewery. Pours a clear apple cider color with a moderate white head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma is bread, spice, peppery hops, peach, pear and green banana. Taste is bread, caramel, earth and nutty notes. Some grass and green banana as well. Fairly dry. Smooth with very slight alcohol warmth. This has some merit but is not well balanced.
