RBESG2008: 50 cL bottle. Pours clear and pale yellow with a collapsing white. Light cornish and bitter aroma. Flavour is sweet cornish and with a light bitterness coming through to the finish. Ends with a light acidic touch and a mild bitterness. harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUL 14, 2008
RBESG08 grand tasting 2008. Pale gold. That’s a pretty bad beer. No great flavour, thin and uninteresting. guzzler67 (1696) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - JUL 13, 2008
Clear gold appearance with medium size white head and a small amount of lacing. Cabbage and corn aroma only slightly offset by caramel malts. Sweet, tinny malt taste that turns more vegetal as it warms. Understated hop presence. Finish lingers longer than one may want. This, and other Stary Melnik beers, (if you really want them) available in MD at the Perfect Pour. Marko (5698) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - JUL 13, 2008

Light golden colour, low white head. Malt and some hops in the nose. Soft maltiness and the unavidable alcohol in the taste. Not offensive (yay) but not a good ESL.
Sampled at the RBESG08 grand tasting. Sweet and alcoholic malt aroma, low bitterness.

Clear straw pale golden color, white head. Sweet apple scent. Malty taste. Smooth mouthfeel, low bitterness.
500ml Bottle - Golden in colour with a small head.Malty, slightly doughy and yeasty aroma. Bittersweet and greasy taste which is not very pleasant. The finish does not linger too much but the sweeness is more noticeable than the bitterness. Not very pleasant and rather disappointing FatPhil (16102) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 31, 2008

Pale gold, tiny head. Some sweet alcoholic malt in the aroma. Big punchy taste - almost peppery. Doesn’t cover the alcohol very well. Taste a bit like heavy machinery - badly greased bearings and conveyor belt.
Bottle from nostalgia. Aroma is sweet cardboard and buttery caramel. Taste is similar alc is present and doesnt try to hide itself. sinkas (293) - Perth/Fremantle, AUSTRALIA - JUN 5, 2007

Whatever toxins are used in this brew, they burnt a hole in my frontal lobe after the first 5 sips. Seriously crude beer. To scared to taste thier other offerings.
