On tap at Colorado Plus poured a clear tarnished gold with a lasting ivory head. Aromas of bread, orange zest, pink grapefruit, light pine and light earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, grapefruit, earthiness and pine with a smooth dry lingering bitter grapefruit finish. cubs (10635) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 28, 2014
On tap @ Station 26. Pours a dark orange appearance with a white head. Smarties, orange candy, papaya, tangerine fruity aroma with some spicy notes. Chewy candy flavor. Some caramel, thick sugar, citrusy hops. Goopy. Not my thing. ModeEngage (152) - Lowell, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 20, 2014
Growler fill from the source, then mailed cross-country. Pours almost-opaque copper with thin white head that lasts and laces. Smells of pine, floral notes, biscuit, and resin. Drinks sweetly with moderate lingering bitterness. Medium to full bodied. Tastes of biscuit, earthy hop notes, pine, toasted malt, and resin. Balanced. Finishes with lingering hop flavor and good effervescence on the palate. Ferris (15275) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 22, 2014
Draft - Super dark sweet caramel. Clear copper with a decent head. Really sweet caramel a bit of herbal hops and a light bittersweet finish. Very malts, almost too much as you lose the hops.

On tap at the brewery. Light reddish amber appearance with an off-white head and light lacing. Aroma of tropical notes, citrus fruits, pine, grass, biscuits, pale malts and a touch of alcohol. Similar flavor, hoppy, strong and sweet with a touch of herbs, floral notes ad spice. Medium plus body, pretty easy to drink for the abv. Solid stuff. bitterbrewer (53) - Colorado, USA - APR 20, 2014
A great double IPA. Full of citrusy hops on the nose with just a touch of pine. The taste is full bitterness and citrusy piney hops. Finishes with a touch of alcohol and a smooth bitter citrusy aftertaste. Excellent beer. Steve_0 (3745) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 15, 2014
UPDATED: FEB 8, 2015 On tap at the brewery. Pour is clear orange with a big white head and great lacing. Big tropical fruits, caramel, mango, orange peel, tangerines, bread, floral hops, and papaya in the aroma. Nice! Taste is sweet peaches, grapefruit, bread, mango, orange peel, grass, pineapple, and the slightest caramel backbone, ending with a medium bitter finish. Slicky mouthfeel medium carbonation. This is a top notch DIPA and easily one of the best ones offered by a local brewery. notalush (5876) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 9, 2014
Tap at the brewery - clear gold with a soapy lace - oh snap - this is definitely what one looks for in a double ipa - nose is a complex explosion of grass, citrus, sage, pineapple - malts are sweet, but lean and clean, just serving as a base for the intense citrus, wood, and herbal notes of the hops - rosemary, pine, grapefruit, mango - alcohol is a little hot as it warms, but not too overbearing - however, it does make this fall just below a 4 for me. UPDATED: JAN 31, 2014 On tap at brewery Jan 26. Listed as 10.1% and 90 IBUs. Pours golden amber. Aroma of pineapple, grapefruit and pine. Significant carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of pine sap juice, candy cane, pink grapefruit juice, grassy hops, slight toothpaste. Overall big, bold, bright and delicious reminiscent of an Avery Maharaja, Dry Dock 7 Seas, Pizza Port Anniversary or Ska Decadent, some of my favorites. Damn, this was so good I went back two days later for another. At the bar in walks a stranger that said kinda the same thing...got get another and can we beg for a growler refill (answer: no...at this time!). This first batch, what they said was a half size, is/was the bomb! Their Red IPA was also delicious and I’ve already bought two growler refills and they’ve only been open 5 weeks or so, but anyway, this double IPA is the double bomb fresh....but after a week some of the pineapple in the nose goes away, and some astringency sets in. I think they would do well putting this recipe in a bottle or can. Anyway, I hope they can keep up this profile.
