2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap @ the brewery/restaurant, our seventh brewery on TvM’s Bachelor Party NW Ale Trail Expedition. Hazy pale yellow, candyish berry flavour, thin pale malts. This is the third huckleberry ale I’ve had in two days, and it was my least favourite.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Shaker pint draft at the brew pub in Spokane, Washington. The pour is clear golden with not much of a white head. The aroma is dirty malt grain, along with fruit sweetness, presumably from the Huckleberry. The taste is the malt husky grain, with bright, somewhat artificial fruit sweetness. Very basic, bit muddled. The palate is light to medium bodied, low carbonation and lingering huckleberry sweetness. I was expecting something more hop harvest oriented, and this was not it (my bad, should have read the description in advance).

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From sampler tray at the brewery. Pours clear gold with minimal white head. Aroma is strong in huckleberries, a little grain. Flavor is a lot like the blonde with huckleberry added. Nice enough.
