Sampled at the brewery, downtown Toronto. Grainy yellow colour, slightly more cloudy than the original Steamwhistle. Toasted flavour, with a bitter aftertaste. Dazka (134) - Milan, ITALY - AUG 23, 2016
S: roasted malt A: yellow, pale, minimal head T: medium sweetness P: refreshing, bitter end Maakun (5755) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - AUG 8, 2016
Free sample at the brewery. Quite similar to the filtered one which has lots of grassy hops, pils malts and a touch of caramel. This unfiltered one lacks the hint of fruit the filtered one has, but instead has noticeable yeast and a more creamy feel and taste. Nice medium bitter crisp beer. robinvboyer (4699) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 12, 2016
Tap at the northern ontario beerfest. Hazy golden pour, small white head. Aroma is super grassy, lots of solid cereals, some bread, slight yeast. Good mouthfeel, perfect carb. Finish is grassy, and quite bready. Very enjoyable. mzaar (3489) - Varberg, SWEDEN - OCT 12, 2015
Provsmak @ Brewpub. Oklar guldfärgad med ett solitt vitt skum. Rena och fina dofter och smaker med malt, bröd och citrus. Lätt krispig munkänsla. Fin beska.

Draft - Bready notes and some sweetness. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Bready, light citrus and a hit of bitterness. Slightly better than filtered. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 8, 2014
[5501-20130618] Tap. Fragrant doughy straw bales aroma hints a little at plastic. Slightly hazy, yellow brown body with a quick foamy white head. Smooth straw-infused yeast and soft grains flavour. Medium body. Quite tasty after a few sips to cleanse the palate. (6/3/7/3/14) 3.3

Unfiltered on tap at the brewery. A cloudy light gold. Mild light pils malt aroma, bready goodness. Nice crackery light malts, crisp clean pilsner goodness. A nice example of the style.

On tap at the brewery. Hazy pale amber with a scummy looking cream head; yeasty aroma; soft grainy body with a sweet yeasty taste; lacking finish and rather clinging. An interesting idea, and it’s good that you can compare this with a free sample of the filtered version. DandyLion (518) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAR 10, 2014
Had at the brewery in Toronto. The filtered pilsner is pretty nice but the unfiltered is better! Nice cloudy beer. The taste is a little sweeter than the filtered version and is very nice.
