This beer was an odd quest for me to acquire - I got a Steam Whistle churchkey as a bonus in a trade about 4 years ago, and it sits on my keyring to this day. Never had the beer, and people would ask me about it - I found it kinda embarrassing. Tried to trade for it a few times, but somehow the trades never worked out. Finally got a Canadian buddy to send me a sixer of 12 oz cans, so, here we go! Crystal clear golden pour with a decent, tight, white head. Nose is sweet and grainy, some honeylike scents. grainy flavors, a good herbaish hoppy bite on the back end. Mouthfeel is light without seeming thin. Lingering bitter finish, a tad drier than expected. Not exactly a stunner, but I rather enjoyed it. A good lawnmower beer.
Grass and biscuits scents. Pours golden with fast dissipating white head. Flavors of yeast malt and bread. Slightly hoppy astringent finish. Not bad, eh. BarryM (3) - - JUL 7, 2017 does not count
Nice pleasant beer. Brewery is in a great location and the tour is good fun.

A rather bland Pilsner. Good appearance, but taste is slightly sweet, with a rather vegetal finish. Not much malt flavour. Not great. Steamboy (5) - - JUN 1, 2017 does not count
Decent pilsner, nice fermented grain aroma, a bit bitter with slight creamy wheat/bread aftertaste. bdleedahl (461) - , Saskatchewan, CANADA - MAY 27, 2017
Decent for a light beer. Bad for a pilsner. Always skunked in bottles, better from a can.

Keg at Nando’s, Ottawa. Clear golden, creamy head. Floral nose with some grass and boiled vegetables. Sweet and fruity with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Ripe apples, boiled cabbage and grass. Light resiny bitter finish. Too sweet with too much off flavours. Low drinkability. george_sanchez (15) - - MAR 20, 2017
Golden appearance with a very thin head. Somewhat breaddy for a pilsner, with substantial grass hops. A decent pilsner, there’s better out there.

Great beer. Clean and crisp. The taste is pleasant, not too hoppy not too malty. Nice carbonation and smoothness. mikkopen (1171) - Guelph, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 17, 2017
500 ml can. Clear golden colour, thin white head. Malty aroma with sweetish bready notes and grassy hops. The flavour is malty, a little grainy, with a mildly grassy-hoppy finish. Nothing special. Akey (9) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 9, 2017 does not count
Just a classic. Easy drinking and beautiful location. Love what they do and will continue to support!
