Bottle. A clear amber with a small, somewhat lasting white to off-white head. Aromas of mid-fruits, citrus, caramel malts and grass whilst following a similar thread to taste. Light to medium body, medium carbonation with a moderate intensity grassy bitterness to finish. Slightly protracted in length with a hoppy bite to an otherwise tangy mid-fruit bulk. From 330 ml bottle. Pours a clear golden-amber with a sudsy white head and OTT carbonation. Virtually no aroma to speak of, maybe a little bit of fresh apple. Taste is a weird mix of corn, dirt, vague bitterness and a metallic note. Clean finish with no aftertaste. Wrong on many levels. herring (6) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 24, 2014 does not count
All varieties of Steamrail taste exactly the same. It’s just the different colour labels that make you think they are different. kubanpete (1) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - AUG 21, 2014 does not count
Its a good ale for the price. Beer snobs will hate it, as its brewed for Coles and can only be bought from Liquorland as far as I am aware. Tastes better than the Little Creatures Pale Ale, Nuff said !! joe19612 (2923) - camberley, Surrey, ENGLAND - JUL 26, 2014
Bottle. Pours a dark orange colour with a thin white head, the aroma is thin malt and fruit, taste is sweet and light with a dry finish.

Pours clear pale gold with a small white head. Faintly hoppy aroma; some honey, citrus, berries, some fruity esters and a little malt, not too bad. Low sweetness, not much going on in the taste other than the mild bitterness. Light body, above average carbonation, with a short and quite dry finish. brojoda (1) - AUSTRALIA - MAY 9, 2014 does not count
banana, pale, medium sweetness, light body, thin feel, average carbonation, david123 (1) - - MAY 8, 2014 does not count
Poor quality beer, not naturally brewed as most pale ales are. Had a real chemical taste and repeats for hours. Brewer unknown not good. StevieT (2013) - AUSTRALIA - MAY 1, 2014
From a bottle. Not much aroma, crisp with a little hops bitterness, it?s pretty good for a macro. Supertrev (102) - AUSTRALIA - MAR 20, 2014
No head retention. Not enough aroma. Tastes weak and disappointing attempt by a major retailer to quickly and cheaply make a craft beer. Avoid.
