COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Ghost of Eyre" Pale ale with balanced hops and malt. The Ghost of Eyre Pale Ale has a well restrained crisp bitterness. The bitterness is offset by a caramel taste, as well as fruity and floral notes.

Bottle. A clear amber with a small, somewhat lasting white to off-white head. Aromas of mid-fruits, citrus, caramel malts and grass whilst following a similar thread to taste. Light to medium body, medium carbonation with a moderate intensity grassy bitterness to finish. Slightly protracted in length with a hoppy bite to an otherwise tangy mid-fruit bulk.

From 330 ml bottle. Pours a clear golden-amber with a sudsy white head and OTT carbonation. Virtually no aroma to speak of, maybe a little bit of fresh apple. Taste is a weird mix of corn, dirt, vague bitterness and a metallic note. Clean finish with no aftertaste. Wrong on many levels.

All varieties of Steamrail taste exactly the same. It’s just the different colour labels that make you think they are different.

Its a good ale for the price. Beer snobs will hate it, as its brewed for Coles and can only be bought from Liquorland as far as I am aware. Tastes better than the Little Creatures Pale Ale, Nuff said !!

Bottle. Pours a dark orange colour with a thin white head, the aroma is thin malt and fruit, taste is sweet and light with a dry finish.

Mjollnir (404) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - MAY 10, 2014
Pours clear pale gold with a small white head. Faintly hoppy aroma; some honey, citrus, berries, some fruity esters and a little malt, not too bad. Low sweetness, not much going on in the taste other than the mild bitterness. Light body, above average carbonation, with a short and quite dry finish.

Poor quality beer, not naturally brewed as most pale ales are. Had a real chemical taste and repeats for hours. Brewer unknown not good.

From a bottle. Not much aroma, crisp with a little hops bitterness, it?s pretty good for a macro.

No head retention. Not enough aroma. Tastes weak and disappointing attempt by a major retailer to quickly and cheaply make a craft beer. Avoid. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
