herbs, floral, golden in glass, lots of carbination to the eye, but head has faded on the first sniff of aroma.
light sweetness, medium bitterness, thin feel, lively carbination, - too much kills the taste. Hint of a bitter finish.
Next time I’d let this warm up slightly and settle down the carbonation.
If I could rate this lower, I would. Horrible, wish I'd never picked up the overpriced, $11 six pack. HopsProfessor31 (1) - AUSTRALIA - JAN 24, 2017 does not count
Can’t understand why this beer is rated so low. For the price it’s unbeatable. Easy to drink and much nicer than all other traditional domestic Australian beers motelpogo (8031) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - OCT 3, 2015
bottle from liquorland in mayfield. pale golden, clear with a shortlived head; some light tropical fruit in the aroma along with watered-down butterscotch; modest bitterness, lightly tinny; unchallenging but better than expected spikespiegel (1) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 11, 2015 does not count
$13 for a six pack. I thought it would be better than my K&K homebrew golden ale but it was just awful. barely a hint of amarillo and no flavour at all. Even if they dropped price to 5 dollars a six pack, probably wouldn’t buy again colui72 (1157) - HONG KONG - JUN 5, 2015
UPDATED: JUN 8, 2015 Surprising. Lots of citrus aroma, golden colour, refreshing and easy to drink.

330ml bottle into glass. Another ’supermarket’ beer disguised as craft. ’Australian Beer Connoissers’ seem to be the Dr. Evil of Australian beer at the moment. On with the beer.....Nice floral hop nose. Yellow beer with lasting white head. A few bubbles. Chalky mineral mouthfeel with lemony hop notes in the finish. Nice beer made by faceless corporate types. ychvirus (24) - SOUTH KOREA - SEP 20, 2014
Don’t exactly know the difference between pale anf gold. Pale is better. Last taste is little wierd. herring (6) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 24, 2014 does not count
All varieties of Steamrail taste exactly the same. It’s just the different colour labels that make you think they are different. davidx (1) - AUSTRALIA - FEB 11, 2014 does not count
Delicious craft pale ale with all of the idiosyncrasies one would expect from the craft brew scene in Melbourne, Australia. Only had the one but has all of the characteristics one would associate with a session beer and wish I’d bought six :) varanid99 (1399) - AUSTRALIA - NOV 7, 2013
Gold pour with a thin white head. Stone fruit and citrus aroma with a little malt. Taste is slightly sweet, peaches, very low bitterness and something slightly chemical. Ok but not great
