Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 3, 2011
Draft @ brewpub. Amber and hazy. Poured with a sparkler so has that annoyingly even head. Aroma of fruits and flowers. Soft and gentle, neither soft nor perfumy. Cotton flowers. Soft, velvet sparkler palate. Lots of natural flower bitterness on the tongue. High gravity feel. Great palate has a lot of guava, which is fun to taste. I really liked it, and most of their beers. Cask. Looks like maybe a sparkler was involved. Amber colour with a thick head. The aroma has floral Belgian stuff, along with a dash of spicy hop. It’s a bit syrupy, chewy and underattenuated, but the spicy American hops are nice.
