Caramel and honey malts lend this ale a mellow, grainy maltiness which is balanced by the subtle presence of English finishing hops.

Grapefruit, orange, citrus, grassy hop nose seems like it may be dry-hopped. Clear, burnished copper coloured body is topped by a very dense, fine bubbled, nitro (I’m guessing), off white head that coats the glass. Grapefruit flavoured hops spar with biscuity malts and some doughlike yeast character. Medium body is quite dry and well attenuated with lively carbonation that engages the tongue. Simple and refreshing this one comes across as advertised. Sampled on tap at the brewpub after the Grey Cup 2005.

DuctTape (15) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 24, 2005
A decent cream ale, very smooth drinking, yellowish colour, but without a lot of taste. Better than the Lions Lager, but that wouldn’t be enough to make me buy it again, its an average beer.

beaconstreet (811) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 29, 2005
Quite delicioso. Nice caramel bite to it. Pump it out and eat it with a meal, by all means.

CapFlu (5132) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 15, 2005
(Draught) Pours a lasting beige head with a light amber body. Crazy lacing of tiny, foamy bubbles. Tart, lemony nose. Creamy though lactic with pasty finish. Below average.

Hooker (468) - Coquitlam, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 13, 2004
cloudy golden colour. thick nitro head that lingers. almost no nose. velvety taste but like a watered down Kilkenny

Malakin (470) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 12, 2004
Dark golden color, little aroma. Smooth creamy texture due to the nitrogen tap. Still some nice malty flavours in there and a lightly bitter aftertaste.

JoeMcPhee (9553) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 19, 2004
Pale golden colour and a white nitro head. Very little aroma due to the nitrogen. flavour is quite mild, faint caramel flavour and some fruitiness and citrus. Very little bitterness and generally just too little flavour. Disappointing.

TimE (6130) - Tokyo, JAPAN - APR 18, 2004
Tastes like Japanese barely tea (mugicha). If I want Japanese tea, I will go to a Japanese restaurant, I don't need it in a brewpub.

Crit (4057) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 14, 2003
Hazy deep gold, lasting beige nitro head.Tastes like a watered down version of Kilkenny

BeerPrince (1701) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 28, 2003
Nice body with a decent lasting white head. Was very smooth and creamy with noticable malts. Not really anything special but very pleasant to gulp down.
