Clear gold color with nice white head. Light hops with a hint of sweetness. Very easy drinking and smooth.
I find this to be a delicious kolsch that is true to style. Not much more to say. Typically light body, creamy head and slightly sweet taste. Very refreshing and it comes in a can, which I like. muzzlehatch (4950) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 29, 2016
Un-Muzzling Olde Muzzlehatch Ratings, #47. Most of the notes in this old pocket notebook show bottle/can/draught and location - not this one, so I’m taking an educated guess. Given that most of the reviews from around this time and around the Twin Cities specify 22 ounce bottle, I’m going to say that I probably shared such a bottle with my friends K & M in their home in St. Louis Park around the end of the first week of August, 2008. I sure hope I shared it, because notes suggest it wasn’t that great an experience - pale clear yellow-gold with little head...smells at first just like a cheap macro-lager with plastic and rather stale malts; eventually improves but not by much, with little hop aroma noted...bit of honey and more body than I’d feared there might be, but overall there isn’t much in the flavor or palate departments either. A failure; I suppose I got it because I’d just had the Herkimer Kolsch and wanted to do a (more or less) side by side; this lost. jgb9348 (6191) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - APR 13, 2016
Crisp clear golden coloured body with a thin, single centimetre tall white head. Aroma of funky cardboardie malt, some light lemons and otherwise a mellow aroma of funk. Light-bodied; Strong malty flavour with a light lemon and metallic flavour and a touch of grass noticeable. Aftertaste is very mild with only the citrus and funky malt coming through. Overall, a pretty forgettable beer, but one that is light and easy to drink. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased at Colorado Liqour Outlet in Colorado Springs, Colorado on 02-January-2016 given to me by my boss - Thanks Jeff! bartzluke (598) - Oklahoma, USA - JUL 9, 2015
12 oz pour from refrigerated can poured into a shaker pint. I bought this can in May in Fort Collins, Colorado, and am drinking it in July in Vienna, Austria. It hasn’t exactly been transported in ideal conditions, but it’s worth it to have a taste of home. The beer pours clear and straw colored with nice carbonation and a only hint of a white head. Body is light and smooth. Nose is clean with maybe a little sweetness. Taste is straightforward and pleasant. A light maltiness up front with a touch of sweetness in the middle. A refreshing and enjoyable beer. bubbleflubber (2210) - Swannanoa, North Carolina, USA - JUL 3, 2015
On tap at my brother-in-law's wedding, this pours clear straw with a fizzy soap head that diminishes to trace bubble lace. The nose is of light grains and hay. Flavors of light lemon, hay, wheat and light cereal finish with a curt grassiness. The light body and zesty mouthfeel make this a very nice representation of a Kolsch, which isn't easy today.

12oz can lake side at Catamount Reservoir. Can’t tell you how it looks. Smells like a standard kolsch, some metal notes, some mild biscuit, a little butter, some straw. Flavor has lemon, straw, biscuit, butter, a little apricot. Watery finish. NachlamSie (3465) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 30, 2015
Pint from draft at Southern Hospitality. This is expectedly very clear with a gold color. Head retention is solid. This isn’t exactly an exciting style, but the execution is about as good as it gets. Aroma is clean, no DMS, very subtle sweetness, virtually no esters, bready malts, and the slightest dash of hops. Body is light and the flavor reflects the aroma perfectly. Good job on executing a kolsch that isn’t too sweet and also is devoid of unwanted flavors. RABinCO (1508) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - JUN 17, 2014

Can from Rob - thanks! Clear pale yellow pour with a white head. Bread and cracker, maybe some light floral or fruit elements. Just so-so. ajnepple (6428) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 9, 2014
12 oz can from Evergreen Discount into a pint glass at home. Pale, yellow appearance with a nice white head, slowly diminishing, thick lacing. Mild aroma of floral notes, lemon peel, herbs, citrus fruits, pale malts and touch of spice. Similar flavor, lightly sweet and light bitterness. Light, thin body, a little watery with soft carbonation. Pretty easy to drink. Not offensive, just not much going on.
