This has a nice bitter aroma. A great flavor. Rich, hoppy, a little caramel. Just a stellar flavor to this. Wonderful. ElGaucho (2401) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - MAY 4, 2008
No recollection of rating this beer with the proof being that I just bought a bottle excited that I’d finally be able to try a Steamworks brew. However, turns out I was confusing Steamworks with Bottleworks in Seattle. However, by the rating I gave it, I’m glad I did buy another bottle. Very resiny hop aroma. Reddish gold body with a yellowish, tan ring. Wonderful, sweet hop flavor. Outstanding and grossly underrated. chronictonic (472) - Oreland, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 9, 2009
Tap @ Teresa’s - deep copper with thick white head. Aroma is very dank- citrus, sap, honey and a bit of 420. Flavor is huge - hop juicy (not bitter) - grassy grapefruit citrus resin. Very sweet but from hops. The balanced malt body us but the carrier for the huge hoppy fresh flavors. Braudog (6763) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - SEP 24, 2006
UPDATED: SEP 23, 2007 Draft pint at the brewpub, 9/18/06: Dark orange with a thin but filmy head. Full-up hoppiness in this, in a perfectly citrus-earthy blend. This went terrificly with their spicy vinegarette dressing. Bonus! rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 4, 2007
Rating numer 2500! (Stockholm Beer Festival 2007) Bottle. Somewhat hazy orange/golden color, small head. Truly hoppy aroma, grapefruit, grass and metallic notes. Flavor brings hops, hops and hops. grapefruit, hops, grass, hops, citric notes, hops. Huge bitterness, still the beer is balanced. And what was that in the finish? Hops? Probably yes.... Very good beer!

Hazy copper color; medium head. Nice fruity American hops (Simcoe? Chinook?), ending bit resiny and earthy. Good caramel flavor, sweetish, missing the darker side, therefore more appreciated, with very good fruity hop (bitter oranges first, then tangerine and mango touch). Well balanced. Perfect mix of caramel sweetness and fruity hops, even if we start knowing this, therefore not original. Excellent.

Hazy copper color. Medium hoppy aroma, resiny, sweet, very light cheese (Roquefort). Powerful, good mouthfeel, correctly sweet and strongly hopped, resiny. Excellent.
UPDATED: JUL 11, 2008 Pours a mesmerizing amber with a nice 1 inch froth, not frothy, but froth, head that last long enough to enjoy it. Its almost see through. Beautiful, smooth hop aroma. My, isn’t the hop, the most aromatic flower? Other scents are lemon, lime, and orange. Amazing flavor. Light syrup, but not too much, just right, mouthfeel. Slightly creamy, slightly bitter, and sweet, hoppy, -- just pure pleasure in the mouth. Yes this one is good, just that good. Does not disappoint. Slight aromatic hop finish. hoplover (166) - Corpus Christi, Texas, USA - JUN 5, 2008
UPDATED: AUG 19, 2008 I love this Imperial IPA! THe aroma had a little hint of sweetness mixed with alot of citrusy notes. The ale looked like a foggy sunshiney morning. It was beautiful. The fog hid the sting of the alcohol content to where there was no sting in my throat! I was very suprized about how smooth it was. This blend of hops in an Imperial usually have a harsh sting to them, but the brewers did well to help them sing the notes they were intended to sing. I loved the smooth flavor of this IPA. I love those certain high alpha acid hops, and Iv’e never tasted them in this way before. I think I taste lemon juice notes! Wow! Thank you Steamworks, and the Lord bless the hop harvest! uhclem (429) - Loveland, Colorado, USA - AUG 16, 2008
I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to try this IIPA - it’s been staring at me from the cooler for ages. From the first pour to the last swallow, this is an exceptional brew.Very well balanced flavor, an opulent mouthfeel and an excellent finish
