Tap @ Steamworks, Vancouver. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are ginger, soap, caramel and hops. Gerbeer (3699) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 1, 2012
On tap. Pours a copper brown with no head. Aroma of fresh gingerbread. Tastes the same. A little syrupy, somewhat like a thick ginger pop. Not cloying, but not really to my taste. asheft (3062) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 21, 2012
[on tap at the Alibi room]
Malty pickled ginger aroma that is sweet. Clear dark straw under a lasting white cover and ring. Sweet and peppery flavour that has some bitter, malty, ginger. Sort of weak with a touch of citrus. Light body, high carbonation, nice ginger finish that ends clean. nbutler11 (1267) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - JUN 22, 2010
On tap at the brewery. Rating #6 of the beer. Pours a bright copper color with a trim off-white head. Mild with ginger in the aroma, but grows in flavor. Odd -- almost like licking bamboo on the palate.

tap at steamworks. pours a clear orange. straight up ginger in the nose. really neat. good with sushi? clean, prominient ginger character to a beer. worth trying but wouldn’t drink regularly. Gravelle (104) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 19, 2009
Cloudy golden, strong white head. Deep ginger nose. Light fresh pleasant ginger profile, light bitterness. Ginger is almost too much and medicinal. Not a bad attempt! JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 29, 2009
Tap at Steamworks. Pale amber beer. Thin white head. Aroma is quite spicy and gingery with just a touch of lemon. There is a nice spicy gingery flavour with a bit of soft pale malt. Light brown sugar sweetness. It’s pretty nice really. Palate is a bit light. Crit (3977) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 22, 2008
Hazy gold, lasting white head.Scarce bead. Sharp ginger nose. Light fresh pleasant ginger profile, light bitterness. Great lacing Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 24, 2007
Slightly hazy amber. Fresh ginger aroma with little nuance or subtlety. The flavour is also quite gingery, with notes of caramelly, earthy malt. The finish is refreshing, at least until the earthy, toasty malts cut back in.
