Pours deep brown in color with an off white head. Roasty aroma and flavor, light bodied.

Dark brown pour with small beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, barley, oats and faint coffee. Taste of dark roasted malts, oats, barley, faint unsweetened chocolate and a touch of smoke. Light bodied, thin mouthfeel, slightly dry finish. Very average stout at best. brokensail (16609) - Dublin, California, USA - AUG 26, 2014
On tap @ Steamworks. Dark brown pour with a khaki head. Smoked water. That’s what this smells like. Cocoa powder, lots of roast, some coffee, and a hint of cookie dough, perhaps. Weird. Flavor is bitter and smokey. Tons of roast and seltzer water. Really thin and almost flat mouthfeel. Burnt nuts, ash, and lots of smoke. Scroll past. Draft - Roast malts and oats. Jet black with a light brown decent head. Roast malts, molasses and a long slick finish. Decent. Japalo (1887) - DENMARK - SEP 30, 2013

brewery. Dark brown Roasted toffy notes. Watery. Dry sweet. Not my cup of tea.
Best one I tried here. Pours black with carpet head and lacing. Some initial cereal and honey oat. Watery consistently, thin palate and creamy texture.. Finishes with some but bitterness. On tap at brewpub. WheatKing (1338) - Phnom Penh, CAMBODIA - APR 23, 2013
Bomber. A bit of bread and chocolate in the nose, add a little coffee in the flavour, back to coffee in the finish, very very soft palate, thin (esp. for an oatmeal stout), and highly muted. This beer has very little going for it, except blaseity. Inoffensive, though. Lagerboy (2221) - British Columbia, CANADA - APR 2, 2013
Steamworks Oatmeal Stout 650 ml bottle.
Darkest brown, no hue. Foamy mocha head settles and fades quickly. Mild aroma of dark roasted chocolate malts. Bittersweet toasted dark chocolate malt taste and not much else. Somewhat thin and easy to drink. Softly carbed, light-medium bodied, low hopped. Light bitter finish. S’okay. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary) vadie (1256) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 8, 2013
Noir, très peu de mousse. L’arôme de malt toasté. Carbonation moyenne. Goût de malt. Je ne pouvait pas trouvé les notes du chocolat ou du café comme un bon stout d’avoine. Je l’ai trouvé très maigre. RumRunner101 (918) - Alberta, CANADA - FEB 2, 2013
Aroma is burnt toast, dark chocolate, a little bit of earthiness. Medium bodied. The usual flavours. I found the amount of bitterness to be distracting. Okay.
