650ml brown bottle. Dark brown with red highlights. Small and thin beige head. Aromas of mild roast and chocolate malt. Taste has light roasted malts and dark chocolate notes. Mild roasty aftertaste and roasted bitterness. Light body, thin. Just ok, was hoping for a little better.

Bottle, the third beer on TvM’s Bachelor Party Northwest Ale Trail Expedition. Very dark brown with copper highlights, spare off white head. Black malts, charred roast character, astringent bitter finish. Lacking the silky oat presence I was hoping for, and a bit on the thin side. Just ok.

Steamworks Oatmeal Stout Aroma: 6/10 -- Muted woody molasses sweetness. Appearance: 3/5 -- Cola-brown black with very thin head that dissipates and vanishes instantly. Taste: 4/10 -- Tastes like a lager with some added char. Next to no sweetness, some acidity, some light coffee lingering in the back. Very disappointing. Palate: 3/5 -- Not think and silky like I want an oatmeal stout to be. Thin and alkaline, with some slight astringency. Overall: 11/20 -- Pass. Big dissapointment for a stout.

Pours black with a rich, nitrogen beige head. A toasted aroma. Lots of sweetness in the taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not sure if i’m into sweet stouts that much, this was alright. Pours black, nice brown head. I was expecting a dark roasted malt aroma and flavor, but was surprised at lack of said roasted malts. Thin taste, bit watery, notes of chocolate and hops.

Its very smooth, great body, highly drinkable and clean finish. Taste of a very balanced milk chocolate and very light roasted coffee.

Nice black beer, with a brown head. Aroma of a traditional oatmeal stout. Also has the traditional taste. I’ve had it in bottle and on tap - they served it a bit too cold on tap; still drinkable.

Pours black with very small head. Nose: hint of chocolate. Definite fizzyness. Very drinkable stout, with a bit of hoppyness. Nice finish, not long.
