On tap at Steamworks. Strangely enough, it tasted like raspberry. There was a definite dry red wine overtone to this beer that I liked. This beer has a couple of extra dimensions: it mixes well with the Witbier and really well with the Coal Porter. I recommend asking for tasters of both these combinations. I think I liked the Frambozen/Porter mixture best of all. Enniskillen (2058) - Bakersfield, California, USA - SEP 7, 2008
Raspberry color with a thin head. Aroma is a sweet raspberry, candy like, light alcohol sweetness. Taste is raspberry candy, very sweet but without a super strong raspberry taste to it that is overwhelming but it’s there. GRM (4080) - Aylmer, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 7, 2008

Was not overly impressed with this one. Kind of sweet, not quite to the point of being cloying, but just doesnt have a really pleasant mouthfeel. Lots of fruit sweetness, a bit of tartness at times, but it is all fruit without a substantial malt backbone. yarry (528) - Waterdown, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 22, 2007
Sampled on tap at local brewery.
Deeper red then most raspberry beers. Smells like a fruit zinfandel such as boones. Tastes like a fruit zinfandel as well with a boozy kick. More like a strong cider with raspberry notes.

Sweet raspberries in the simple, jammy nose. Opaque red body is topped by a low white head that recedes rapidly to ring. Lightly tart wheat flavour with plenty of residual sweetness and raspberries. Long sweet fruity aftertaste. Light body with moderate carbonation. Sampled on tap at the brewpub as CapFlu ran to catch the float plane. harrisoni (18823) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 14, 2006
On tap at Steamworks, Vancouver. Clear red/brown colour with thin pinky white head. Raspberry aroma. Very raspberry fruit. Hint of sourness. Raspberry fruit in mouth leads to very moderate sourness and then if falls away towards the end. Rapsberry fruit syrup continues throughout. Bit over carbonated. Lacks a bit of malt structure. CapFlu (5128) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 29, 2006
(Draught) The dissipated, white, foamy head strings to the glasses circumfrance and jammy red clouded body sits astool. Very sweet raspberry aroma melds into a more toned and citrus flavoured, Benadryl-inspired sour cherries cough syrup. Elixir textured medicine meets lemon juice. frink (467) - coquitlam, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 12, 2005
GCBF. Pours a light reddish colour. Raspberries in the nose. Tastes of raspberries and malt, medium tartness and crisp carbonation.Well concealed alcohol. Quite tasty. beaconstreet (811) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 29, 2005
Sampled this with Oakes. He loved it, it seemed, I could barely choke it down. Too, too bitter!! Gah gah gahyha. That’s what I said when I drank it. But I drank it.
