Bottle consumed with Gazza and my dad 01.09.11, cheers Gazza for bringing this along Having just had the Steel City CTZ it could well have been a case of ’ after the Lord Mayors Show but despite not quite hitting the lofty heights of the CTZ this held its own pretty well. Pours gold with a slim white head. This is crisp and with a nice fruitiness in the mouth, a thoroughly decent drop, with some late citrussy pithiness coating the roof of the mouth. Can’t fault this although I did think that the nose was just a little shy and subdued which is not really something you would normally say about Gazza and Dave’s beers. Anyway whilst not quite in the same league as the CTZ which is the benchmark that everything is going to have to aim for tonight , this is still a most enjoyable beer.
