Clear yellow, small white foam ring. Barnyard aroma and over-sweet taste. Never again. (Little Rock 201705) ajnepple (6622) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 23, 2017
24 oz via can in New Orleans. Mild aroma of grains and corn. Similar flavor, pretty bland and boring with a mildly sweet, malty/grainy finish. Thin and watery on the palate. Pretty much what I expected. AirForceHops (7240) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 5, 2016
Paid $1.79 for a 24. oz can at the local Market Basket. Had this side-by-side-by side with the Spiked Punch and the Blk Berry. Pale golden with a cap of white head. jron53 (1) - Hammond, Louisiana, USA - SEP 5, 2016 does not count
Nose is pale malts, cereal, grain. Taste shows grain, yeast. Light bodied, fine carbonation with a smooth mouthfeel, light booze hint in the finish. If you are drinking a malt liquor just to get drunk why would you get the 6% version? But overall it is not awful, doesn’t taste like much.
Drink very cold. Nasty at room temperature. Good for a cheap, quick beer buzz. Patrickctenchi (6590) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - JUN 28, 2016
Clear gold with a greyish-white head.
Corn, grain aroma.
Sweet corn, honey, grain malt taste.
The same magnificence as the standard version......with 25% or so less guilt.
shrubber85 (11408) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUN 1, 2016
24 ounce can of goodness. Stale corn malt and straw aroma. Medium yellow with moderate head. Moderately sweet corn, barley malt, and very lightly bitter hay flavor. Decent body. So.... a 6% malt liquor that tastes like a pale lager? How do they do it? Tonkun (1296) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 26, 2015
Can. Light golden pour with a white head that dissipated quickly. Grain, corn syrup, fish. Good carbonation. Light body for a 6%. Grainy. Type that gives a headache. puboflyons (3433) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 26, 2015
From the 24 fl. oz. can. Served ice cold. Yellow and heady. The aroma is weak but I pick up a little grain, corn, and a hint of grass. Thin watery body. The taste brings out a little sweet bread and biscuit and the hop bitterness tends to come forward a bit more in the flavor on the tail end. I like the 8% common version better. At least it has more oomph to it. heemer77 (5358) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - MAR 27, 2015
This should not be a separate rating, but RB has declared it so. For some reason the 6% version is all that is sold in Iowa. Pours a light gold color with a medium white head that fades quickly. Aroma is corn and hints of dough. Flavors of corn and slight off flavors of diesel are present in the finish. Sweet and boozy, it is better than a lot of macro pale lagers. Light and easy drinking. Augdraught1981 (266) - Harlem, Georgia, USA - MAR 15, 2015
Refreshing, smooth & malty, and better than the 8%. Grainy taste & flavor with a golden color and a head that is rarely seen outside of macro lagers, beautiful! Refreshing.
