2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Letís be honest: nobody is drinking Steel Reserve for the taste. These guys find their way into my beer stash every once and a while and, frankly speaking, I am looking for the buzz that accompanies my $1.29 purchase.
That being said, and having tried quite a few malt liquors in my time, this really isnít that terrible. It provides a quick buzz and, if drank ice cold (and I mean cold, because if it gets warm it tastes terrible), itís actually quite drinkable. It looks half-decent when poured out of the can (but whats the point of that?) and smells like sweet corn. Not overly repulsive but certainly not a treat on the nose.
Donít pick this up if you are any kind of beer snob because this is not for you. I like beer: I like all styles, all varieties, and that includes malt liquor. When money is tight or if Iím just in the mood for something proven and quick, Iíll go for this. Overall I gave this a 14/20 - this reflects itís style, not beer in general. It doesnít stack up to some of the better microbrews out there, but then again I donít expect it to.
Drink cold and enjoy the ride.
So figured since Iím staying here for my silly style chasing goals itís finally time to push malt liquor to 15. Grabbed from a gas station. Deepe orange gold. Nose is rich high fructose corn syrup. Tastes the same corny, sugar, malt, hint of artificial fruit. Really bad seehaferb23 (260) - - MAY 29, 2017
This is one of the worst beers we brought for beer club. This was drank by Cannery Row Beer Club. Cheers!

proper us malt lika, my life is complete! Thatís why it deserves five!
Finally an American Beer with kick.
Itís bold it hits the taste buds instantly
As Beer should do.
Tried all the famous Beers here in US but Stella Reserve beats them all.
Color like a pilsner a hint of bitter a light sweet aroma but the way it hit you is astounding.
Danish Beer are among the very finest on all sort from light Beer, pilsner, lager.
Steel Reserve 211 is the only Beer that measure up to what a Beer should be.
And that is strenght, flavor.
Best served in a iced Glass at 36-38F.
Drink it warm and it will be super bitter and unpleasant to drink.
But Beer have to be served Cold.
Good job Brewers a true Beer is born.
