Growler from Turdferguson. Clear, deep amber-red pour. Not much head because Steel String can’t pour a growler for shit. Nose of citra hops, citrus, tropical fruits, resin, caramel, and some tea-like notes. Toasted malts. Taste adds a nice bitterness and a rye-like spiciness. Surprisingly light palate. Not quite a black IPA, and better for it.

Enjoyed this on a beautiful evening at the brewery. Decently hoppy. a little whiff of caramel. Thought I got some butter, but it faded away. nice lingering hop.

Pours a deep ruby amber with two fingers of sandy tan head. Nose is very hoppy, albeit somewhat nondescript, with notes of citrus rind and grass and a touch of toasted malt. There’s a bit more bitterness than I usually care for and it sticks around for a bit. Strong zesty/citrusy bitterness in the mouth and a touch of toasted grain and malt. Very dry and lean bodied with a firm bitterness on the finish.

Pretty deep amber hue. Somewhat watery with under powered malt backbone. Aggressive hops for the style. Bong water aroma with short brittle bitter finish.

TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - AUG 9, 2013
Reddish amber with thin sticky off white lace. Nose is really nice combo of the hops involved, subtle pine, citrus, tropical Fruits, light caramel malts. Similar flavor. Excellent balance and lots of hop flavor. Nice bitter finish. Wow, this is really impressive. Nice work, Brian, Will, and co.
