Tap - small foamy tan head, black color, roasty coffee aroma and flavor, creamy texture, not bad for a stout

Has some roasty and fruit scents, taste is similar with an over powering bitterness that was a little too much.

Tap at brewery. Pours a creamy black. Aroma and taste are roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Definitely a nice stout. DalzAle (2037) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - OCT 3, 2011
Bottle. Creamy dark black pour, light cookie colored head and an aroma of roasted malts. Flavor is also creamy roasted malts, lactose like sweetness, dark chocolate and finishes a little bitter on the aftertaste. Decent @ $5/bomber. Trev (2023) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - DEC 17, 2011
Bomber: Nice dark brown pour with a medium tan head.

flavour is creamy roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and with a resiny hop presence. Very drinkable.

Saturday night stout! Pour is almost black, with a scant tan head that’s gone in a flash. Aromas of coffee, roast, chocolate, floral hops. Taste is bitter and off dry. Flavors of dark dry chocolate, lightly roasted coffee, some bittering hops. Slightly silky. This is pretty nice. A large sized dry chocolate note. Slight tinge of alcohol. Finished like a silky black dildo, dry with a nice roast. Very decent. gopherfan99 (1820) - Minnesota, USA - MAY 18, 2014
Tap, dark pour with a beige head, sweet taste of roasted malt, chocolate, molasses, and dark fruits, bitter finish, good stout. Stine (1780) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 20, 2012
Syrupy black pour that shines ruby around the edges and retains a mocha like foam. A heavy, detailed aroma; at times, bright and fruity, and at others dark and intense. Richly spicy and earthy with coffee, cinnamon and gingerbread; lots of candied and overripe red fruits. Slow to emerge, composed, and made interesting by its abundance of yeast and hop presence.

Strongly vinous flavor; cherries, raspberries and figs work with a big, bright citrus hop note that really stands out. There’s plenty of velvety dark malt laying calmly beneath.
Medium, fairly effervescent texture; easy to drink. A lot unfolds at the finish; rich raisiny cavendish tones give way to an awesomely meaty, smokey roast flavor, long after swallowing. A winningly unusual take.
Bottle courtesy of Atom. Bottle pours almost black with a thin tan head. THe aroma is malty, with cookie dough, chocolate, and slight coffee presence. Flavor hampered by being drank back to back with the Marshal Zhukov, but this is a different beast. Drinkable, with the oats giving it an easy drinking finish. Nice stout indeed. jmikolich (1477) - North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA - OCT 31, 2012
Bottle from Zipps, Nice dark brown nearing black pour nose is roasty and malty, body is a bit thin which surprises me given the oat addition, a good solid beer glad to see Steel Toe doing their thing.
