Light bronze pour with small white head. Aroma and flavor is big on pine and resin. Light carbonation. Very tasty, easy to drink for 11%. Id put this up there with some of the west coast big IPAs Ive had

Had it out of a bomber. Pours a rich hazy amber hue with a thick as thighs head and an uneven lacing. The aroma is intense hops and the taste is full of hops and malt with an alcohol aftertaste.

Thanks to kbutler1 for tossing this in our trade as an extra. The beer is dark amber with approx. one inch of head. The aroma is of tropical fruits, caramel malts, candied citrus, hints of pine, alcohol. A big, robust beer. hop forward with a sturdy malt presence. Alcohol is there, but not obtrusive. Slightly sweet throughout with mild bitterness. Pretty good.

Bottle thanks to HoffDog43. Strong danky and earthy hop aroma. Slightly citrusy. String malty sweet flavors followed a hop bitterness. A slight alcohol warming. Slightly sweet finish. Not bad for Midwest bier. ---Rated via intercellular device

Dark copper color with a medium head. Big aroma of tangerine, grapefruit and perfume. Bracing bitterness. A mix of pine, floral and lemon flavors. Light caramel. Very malty. Farily full bodied.

On tap at brewery. St. Louis park Golden transparent. Frothy offwhite head. Aroma is grapefruity bitter, resin, malty. Taste is slightly sweet upfront and finishes bitter. Body is medium full, soft carbonation. Long finish. Alcohol is a little overwhelming as the beer warms.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2014 3-6-14 re-rate: 750ml bottle. Felt the need to re-rate this so soon as I have come to the conclusion that this beer is far better than I originally gave it credit for and far better than my fellow Ratebeerians would seem to suggest. I like this better than Hopslam and better than Abrasive, recognizing that this is technically a subtly different style. Liquid gold and perhaps my new favorite beer on the planet. 1-17-14:Draft at brewery. Fresh, sweet, fruity hop aroma that reminds me a bit of Hopslam. Slightly hazy amber although tough to tell in the dim light of the bar. Excellent off white head and lace. Really excellent brew that is not dissimilar to Hopslam. Call it a poor mans Hopslam although that is said in the most complimentary way. Steel Toes best beer, also said in the most complimentary way. 10, 4,9,5,18

Beautiful copper/orange hue and creamy thin head. I was expecting a full on bitterness barrage but was pleasantly surprised at how smooth it was. Still, plenty of hop happiness with a slight pine aroma...and a great buzz! This is a big beer.

10 oz. pour, on tap at the brewerys tap room. Consumed on 5-18-13. Pleasant, fresh, hoppy aroma features lemon scent. Pours a great, bright orange/brass/gold color. Very good lacing. Superb, citrus-y, double IPA taste; cant ask for much more from a double IPA. Great, dry finish. Very good, heavy palate. Highly enjoyable beer.
