Beautiful copper/orange hue and creamy thin head. I was expecting a full on bitterness barrage but was pleasantly surprised at how smooth it was. Still, plenty of hop happiness with a slight pine aroma...and a great buzz! This is a big beer. badgerben (5181) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - JUN 29, 2013
Dark copper color with a medium head. Big aroma of tangerine, grapefruit and perfume. Bracing bitterness. A mix of pine, floral and lemon flavors. Light caramel. Very malty. Farily full bodied. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JUN 26, 2013
Draft, thanks daniwerks. Clear amber body with small off-white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, orange, floral, some grapefruit, bread. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit, some orange, bread. Medium-full body, resinous. bytemesis (8423) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JUN 22, 2013
Bottle - thanks Matt! Pours clear orange amber with a medium off-white orangish head and decent lacing. Aroma is pine, caramel, some citrus, bread. Flavor is the same, medium sweet, medium bitter. Kind of a malt bomb, not sure if it is because of age or brewer intent. Medium body, oily mouthfeel. Not bad. devman171 (1221) - Annapolis, Maryland, USA - JUN 15, 2013

750mL bottle, sent from mista (thanks a lot, Geoff), pours a hazy golden orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is incredibly hoppy, lots of residual sugars, and a little butterscotch. Flavour brings out loads of resinous hops, balanced by a big portion of caramel malts. Lots of residual sugars, but somehow not cloying at all. There’s a perfumy floral quality to it that is situated well. Not the most easy drinking IIPA, but well-constructed nevertheless. commonmac (1246) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 7, 2013
Terrific pour at the brewery taproom. Clings well to the glass with a dark orange hue. Aggressive aroma trains you to think hops but as it’s a double ipa kicks you in the face with initial alcohol sweetness. Alcohol is prevalent in the taste but balanced well with citrus flavors. A solid representation falling just short of the Dissent as Steel Toe’s strongest offering. camborne (656) - Hopkins, Minnesota, USA - JUN 1, 2013
Wow this is a big boy beer. Huge hops profile with lots of citrus bitterness. Giid amount of malt sweetness to balance it out. Was really surprised that this beer would pack such a punch. Try it nsquishee (641) - Richfield, Minnesota, USA - MAY 27, 2013
Very sweet and hoppy with a boozy punch. Syrupy hops and a lingering alcohol vapor. bnielsen13 (264) - Richfield, Minnesota, USA - MAY 23, 2013
