On Tap in taproom. Color is dark orange with a white head. Very hoppy, malty aroma. Hoppy, boozy, malty flavor. Nice DIPA. oneeighthcuban (106) - - MAY 23, 2013
Aroma seems a little weak, earthy/musty kind of smell? Taste is really clean, nice bitter finish. Not one of favorite double ipa's but still good.

On tap at the brewery. Decent DIPA. Seems like a bit too much bitterness just for the sake of bitterness. Aromas aren’t that citrusy, but more flowery. Kinda like Size 7 better overall. bookman10 (1179) - Osseo, Minnesota, USA - MAY 19, 2013
2013 vintage. Pours a copper-amber, with massive, pillowy head. Floral, hop aroma, with some citrus, some bread. Flavor is amazingly balanced: there’s the expected citrus hop bite, but there’s also a lot of underlying malt sweetness, so that neither side overwhelms the other. An outstanding double IPA (although the bottle indicates it’s a triple!). bucs572000 (237) - Minnesota, USA - MAY 18, 2013
Aroma is citrus, orange, pine, and grapefruit. Flavor is citrus up front then I get orange peel, pine, grapefruit, and tropical fruit. Actually pretty juicy for being so hoppy.

Draft. Pours a nice orange/yellow with a nice white head. Fruity, juicy, orange in the nose. Medium mouthfeel. Nice blend of malt backbone and orange rind bitterness with some sweet fruit notes. Tasty. TheHOFF43 (2052) - Robbinsdale, Minnesota, USA - MAY 17, 2013
Tap at brewery. Pours a nice dark orange with tons of hops on the aroma. Stronger/boozier than I expected based on aroma, nice hops with little malt. Definitely packed with hops but I like that. burgy (456) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - MAY 16, 2013
Mild aromatics of pine needles, lemon peel and slight astringt notes. Pours nice and golden. Nice bitter punch in the face that lingers and mellows. Palate is full and thick. Overall, a little too bitter in flavor to be rated higher. BVery (11241) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - MAY 15, 2013
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Tap at Muddy Waters. Apparently tap is better than bottle, per recent ratings. This is awesome - citrus hop, caramel, super rich - just killer. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JAN 24, 2013
(750ml bottle best by 2.24.2012 ) rich deep orange with sparse offwhite bubbles. Nose is rich and caramel like a barleywine, very little bitter citrus, candied citrus. Taste of rich caramel, fresh crushed grain, lightly bitter citrus, grapefruit linger without a bitter linger. Thick body, syrupy but I like it. Nicely balanced to be honest.
