Draft at the brewery. Label this a "standard" American IPA. The aroma is a bit caged. The beer drinks with a decent malt backbone and a fairly normal balance. Clean, well made, but a tad uninteresting, yet still good, IMHO. (#5656, 8/28/2014) Lectvay (191) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUL 19, 2014
Pours a lovely bright golden, very fresh pine aroma. Pleasantly bitter, slight citrus acidity. Hops are the main event, but it’s not in-your-face intense. The bitterness is well-rounded and balanced. Very good IPA. bottleforager (3211) - Gray, Maine, USA - JUN 19, 2014
Pours a orange golden color with a finger of eggshell foam. Nose is a bit of sweet cotton candy, citrus and some underlying pineapple and hints of caramel malt. The palate follows the nose and has some nice juicy hop character, pine, candied orange, pineapple, grass. The overall mouthfeel is a touch on the sticky side with a residual sweetness that does balance out the heavy bitterness late in the palate just wish it was a touch drier on the finish. commonmac (1370) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 23, 2014
Tap at the Steel Toe tap room. Gold in color and a visually appealing lacing. Aroma leans on the pine expected from an IPA. Taste follows suit with an aggressive, yet palatable bitterness. Refreshing and satisfying. The shoe fits. johnnymusky (1004) - Minnesota, USA - MAY 17, 2014

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2016 Pours a crystal clear amber/gold with thin persistent head and good spotty lacing. Aroma is dusty, fruity, with pine sap and tea. Taste is also dusty, dry, crisp, and primarily resinous, slight bit of tea. This is tasty, drinkable, substantial... not much more to ask for. Great stuff.

Nice pine aroma. Taste is hop-forward pine resin, a nice dry bitterness in the middle with slight malt balance in the end. Super smooth palate. Not bad at all! Update: Had a little at a tasting - got a nice Trix or Fruity Pebbles vibe from the aroma. I like it. (8+4+8+4+15=3.9)
The beer is golden and transparent, with ample effervescence and an inch of white head that leaves a sheet if lacing in its wake. The aroma brings candied citrus, resinous hops. Juicy with a bold hop character. Palate coating with some pine resin stickiness. Pretty good. arnold931 (1261) - Iowa, USA - MAY 4, 2014
Tap at Happy Gnome St Paul. One delicious IPA. Pours a hazy golden orange. Nose is pine and some floral. Taste is also lots of pine, floral, and some grapefruit. Nice dry finish. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - APR 30, 2014
Pours a slightly hazy amber color with off-white head. Hoppy, lots of pine, citrus, and resin on the nose; all follow onto the palate. This one finishes with some nice cedar/spruce type notes. One of the better IPAs from MN. Ibrew2or3 (8913) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - APR 20, 2014
22oz bomber courtesy of TheHOFF43 pours with a crystal clear copper body that supports a thin nearly creamy tan head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up some sweetness, some cantaloupe and then a mix of mango and a sliver of citrus mango hard candy. The taste starts with pulsing pleasing hoppy goodness with a mix of mango, grapefruit and then modest spicy hoppiness. The hops have lots of both flavor hop notes and firm hop bitterness and to midway the spicy slightly onion like hops gain a resiny bitter hop facet to them. Nice. I’m really enjoying the balance and depth of the hops and the modest malty sweet backbone.
