A: The pour is a slightly hazy golden amber color with a white head and some nice lacing.
S: A really good citrus hop aroma to the nose to start things off. Plenty of tropical fruit notes, particularly pineapples, too. Pretty straightforward, but really nice.
T: The hop flavor is really big and juicy with a fair amount of citrus/grapefruit and lots of pineapple. There’s a bit of a caramel flavor as well as some mild breadiness that weren’t really noticeable on the nose.
M: The body is medium with a moderate carbonation.
D: A surprisingly solid IPA. I really quite liked this beer and would definitely not have a problem ordering it if I find myself at Steelhead again. l1br4r14n (451) - Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA - JUL 9, 2010
Huge hop aroma, strong grapefruit flavor and bitter. Decent IPA but one dimensional. Nikiel (879) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 24, 2010
Average IPA, though slightly more hoppy than average. Good hops, but very average overall. gracefullypunk (667) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 9, 2010
On tap at Eugene Brewery. Pours hazy honey gold with a minimal white head. Aroma is dusty and earthy with some sugar and grapefruit. Bitter citrus peel, peppery hop and some malt in the taste. Standard IPA, nothing too exciting. Reid (2541) - Salem, Oregon, USA - FEB 20, 2010
On tap at Venti’s in Salem OR.
Nice enough looking beer, typical orange/brown with a small off white head.
Good oiney,lemony aromas, very fresh.
Great refreshing taste of floral hops mixed with lemon zest, seems to have a nice malt backbone also.
Nice enough on the palate, went down well anyway.

Hoppy aroma. Golden coloured hoppy and fruity with a crisp dry finish. Beardface (1517) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - AUG 21, 2009
Tap at Eugene Emeralds baseball game. Hazy copper colored pour, small white head. Aroma of citrus fruit and some light floral with some biscuit malt. Flavor was fruity, orange and light floral and biscuit as well. Kind of a run of the mill IPA but not bad on the cheap at a baseball game. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - AUG 8, 2009
Irvine. On tap; poured a clearish, dull gold color. Aroma of citrus and flowers; quite fresh and aromatic. Flavor was of orange slices and flowers; some toasted malt. Very sessionable and orangey. steview (1037) - Petaluma, California, USA - JUN 3, 2009
Irvine, CA, location: straightforward and rather normal - not boring; low carbonation aids smoothness and the overall flavor, which is about identical to the aftertaste, is interesting - semisweet, somewhat buttery, but dry like toast, with some sweet and bitter citrus notes; it is overall nicely done and the growler that it was in really kicks ass! I like it. It’s good.
