Our cult favorite, deep gold American pale ale. Big citrus and floral aromas, malt flavors, and intense hoppy finish.

rmussman (1701) - California, USA - JUN 17, 2007
Sampled at the Brewhouse in Burlingame. Had a good flavor with a fair use of hops that really lead it to be a good brew. I prefered the IIPA, but this one is good.

Had this as part of an 8 beer flight. This was my favorite of the beers in the flight. Relative to other IPAs I’ve had, I thought this was pretty good. The description I read was dead-on - "lots of malt flavors, intense hop finish"

DrunkenWeasel (224) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 15, 2006
Smells of some piney hops with too many malt notes for an IPA. Medium Amber color with a small white head. Tastes of floral hops with a sharp apple bite to it. Aftertaste is too bland without a long lasting taste too it.

WeeHeavySD (3387) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 16, 2006
Draft at Steelhead in Irvine CA on 8/15/06. This is possibly the worst IPA I’ve ever had. Hops do not even exist in the realm of this beer. Do not order it. Yuck

Cloudy orange color with little carbonation. Light hop aroma with a good hop flavor and malt profile. Overall a clean easy drinking IPA.

awaisanen (1304) - Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 22, 2006
Slightly cloudy, orangish amber color with a small, bubbly white head. Hoppy aromas are light and smell of herbs - maybe some fresh tarragon and oregano, but not overly fragrant. Flavor is smooth and quite malty, which is a bit of a surprise. Relatively quick finish with only a trace of hops and herbal notes lingering at the end.

harlequinn (2744) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - JAN 4, 2006
Decent and quaffable in a pinch. Beings this is the only decent place in Eugene. Lemony and acidic with some decent malt character. Just wish it had a little more in the hop character to it. The finish was a little metallic and mineral almost tasting like this was poured out of a can, but not it came out of the draft I watched

3fourths (9345) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 23, 2005
Draft at the brewery. Slightly hazy golden orange color. Texture is fizzy and crisp, with a medium-to-light body. Flavor is sharp, piney, sweet, lightly soapy, while a little tinny and metallic in the finish. Semi-sweet aromas of pine needles and sharp woody hop notes. Slightly grassy, but in a bad way, actually.

BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - OCT 2, 2005
A deep golden color. Good hop aroma This was a great IPA. Intence Hop Finish.

DarkElf (3062) - La Jolla, California, USA - SEP 3, 2005
(Draft: Steelhead Brewing Company in Eugene, OR) Pretty decent west coast IPA, sweet and fairly malty in a pale malt sort of way, with a balancing grapefruity and moderately bitter hops. Medium bodied, good carbonation on the palate, reasonably clean right from the start, fairly crisp in the finish. The nose is light overall with a sweet orange citrus aroma. Clear golden color, topped by a small, off-white head that fades to a rim fairly quickly. No lacing, just like all the beers, but I’ll blame it on the glasses.
