A: The pour is a slightly hazy golden amber color with a white head and some nice lacing.
S: A really good citrus hop aroma to the nose to start things off. Plenty of tropical fruit notes, particularly pineapples, too. Pretty straightforward, but really nice.
T: The hop flavor is really big and juicy with a fair amount of citrus/grapefruit and lots of pineapple. There’s a bit of a caramel flavor as well as some mild breadiness that weren’t really noticeable on the nose.
M: The body is medium with a moderate carbonation.
D: A surprisingly solid IPA. I really quite liked this beer and would definitely not have a problem ordering it if I find myself at Steelhead again. Ratman197 (14852) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - SEP 6, 2012
On tap at Steelhead Burlingame poured a clear gold with a small lasting ivory head. Aromas of biscuit, earthiness, grapefruit, lemon zest and light orange. A golden IPA with a thin white head. Good plentiful c-hops, with resinous notes, pungent and classy. In mouth, a classic California IPA with loads of C-hops, grapefruit, piney character, oily mouthfeel. A good classic example. On tap at brewpub, Jan. 17 2009.

Sample at the Burlingame brewpub. Hazy copper-gold color with a medium white head that recedes gradually to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of piney hops, grapefruit and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall. slowrunner77 (12051) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 2, 2014
"very early on in my craft (and IPA) drinking days, this beer blew me away with it’s big floral nose and huge citrus flavor. a couple hundred ipas later, it’s still good, but i no longer want to run naked in the streets proclaiming it’s greatness. i’ve only had on tap, so it’s always fresh."

Draft at the brewery. Slightly hazy golden orange color. Texture is fizzy and crisp, with a medium-to-light body. Flavor is sharp, piney, sweet, lightly soapy, while a little tinny and metallic in the finish. Semi-sweet aromas of pine needles and sharp woody hop notes. Slightly grassy, but in a bad way, actually. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - AUG 28, 2009

Appearance: Clear golden with a medium sized white head and some lacing
Aroma: Tropical fruits
Taste: Fruity, caramel and grapefruit
This draft brew from the brewery in Eugene poured a head of finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a hazy uncarbonated dark orange colored body. The mild aroma was hoppy and malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The weak flavor contained notes of hops and mild astringency. A poor ipa that I would not buy again.
