No way in hell this is a double IPA. One of the weakest doubles Ive had. Overall its well balanced and structured, hiding the alcohol, but like with all the other steelhead brews its too watery for style. Its a double IPA, I want to be smacked in the face by hops and malts. I call this IPA+, but no IIPA.

On tap at Steelhead Burlingame poured a clear golden amber with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of biscuit, earthiness, orange zest and grapefruit. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of crackers, orange, pink grapefruit and light pine with a smooth dry bitter lingering citrus finish.

Sampled in Burlingame. Really enjoyed this one. it was big time hoppy and a bit of cloudiness to it. A really enjoyable brew. Perhaps served a bit too cold.

A: The pour is a slightly hazy golden amber color with a white head and some nice lacing. S: A really good citrus hop aroma to the nose to start things off. Plenty of tropical fruit notes, particularly pineapples, too. Pretty straightforward, but really nice. T: The hop flavor is really big and juicy with a fair amount of citrus/grapefruit and lots of pineapple. Theres a bit of a caramel flavor as well as some mild breadiness that werent really noticeable on the nose. M: The body is medium with a moderate carbonation. D: A surprisingly solid IPA. I really quite liked this beer and would definitely not have a problem ordering it if I find myself at Steelhead again.

the bottle was a bit old so some oxidation came through. Camarle and toffee creaminess. Hoppy pine, smooth but stale. Still very sweet though apple juice, peach and syrupy.

Bottle. Pour was orange golden with a creamy white head. Aroma was of grapefruit, citrus, orange, some peach and earthy hop. Flavors were citrus, grapefruit. This was a fuller bodied beer but was real smooth. Nice balance of hops to malt bill.
