Sample at the Burlingame brewpub. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of citrusy hops, toasted malt and a bit of pine. The finish is moderately bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall. Markm2151 (280) - toledo, USA - APR 22, 2013
No way in hell this is a double IPA. One of the weakest doubles I’ve had. Overall it’s well balanced and structured, hiding the alcohol, but like with all the other steelhead brews it’s too watery for style. It’s a double IPA, I want to be smacked in the face by hops and malts. I call this IPA+, but no IIPA. jazz88 (2683) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 8, 2013
Tap @ The Bistro’s 2010 10th Annual Double IPA Festival. A hazy golden color wit ha light citrus aroma. Rich and full bodied with a candy sugar and orange flavor. Ratman197 (15216) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - SEP 7, 2012
On tap at Steelhead Burlingame poured a clear golden amber with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of biscuit, earthiness, orange zest and grapefruit. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of crackers, orange, pink grapefruit and light pine with a smooth dry bitter lingering citrus finish. rmussman (1701) - California, USA - FEB 12, 2012
Sampled in Burlingame. Really enjoyed this one. it was big time hoppy and a bit of cloudiness to it. A really enjoyable brew. Perhaps served a bit too cold.

Appearance: Slightly hazy amber with a medium sized white head and good lacing
Aroma: Tropical fruits and citrus
Taste: Fruity and bitter grapefruit <br.
Very nice IPA, nice and smooth
A: The pour is a slightly hazy golden amber color with a white head and some nice lacing.
S: A really good citrus hop aroma to the nose to start things off. Plenty of tropical fruit notes, particularly pineapples, too. Pretty straightforward, but really nice.
T: The hop flavor is really big and juicy with a fair amount of citrus/grapefruit and lots of pineapple. There’s a bit of a caramel flavor as well as some mild breadiness that weren’t really noticeable on the nose.
M: The body is medium with a moderate carbonation.
D: A surprisingly solid IPA. I really quite liked this beer and would definitely not have a problem ordering it if I find myself at Steelhead again. zdk (1917) - New York, New York, USA - JUL 8, 2010
the bottle was a bit old so some oxidation came through. Camarle and toffee creaminess. Hoppy pine, smooth but stale. Still very sweet though apple juice, peach and syrupy. IlanMan (1015) - Appleton, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 23, 2010
Bottle. Pour was orange golden with a creamy white head. Aroma was of grapefruit, citrus, orange, some peach and earthy hop. Flavors were citrus, grapefruit. This was a fuller bodied beer but was real smooth. Nice balance of hops to malt bill. jredmond (8517) - New York, New York, USA - OCT 7, 2009
