Draft at the brewery, served with lemon. Hazy orangish yellow with a small white head. Standard banana/clove/wheat aroma, average sweetness with no hop character. Medium-light body. Meh.

Not bad. On draft in Burlingame. Fruity citrus aroma and palate, soft round and easy for summer

On tap at Steelhead Burlingame poured a cloudy yellow with a small lasting white head. Aromas of wheat, yeast and a hint of citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of wheat, yeast and a hint of citrus with a crisp finish.

On tap in Burlingame. Hazy orange with a small white head and some lacing. Aroma and taste of wheat, lemon, honey and citrus. A nice mild, easy drinking hefe.

A decent enough beer though slightly lighter than a good hefeweizen in my mind. Nice and wheaty.

A brilliant Hefeweizen, probably the best I have ever tried. After you swallow the beer a delicious aftertaste will develop in your mouth. "Two thumbs way up!" -Roger Ebert

Tasted on 1/23/11 on draft at Steelhead Irvine. Pours cloudy orange amber with a thin white head that leaves a thin collar of lace. The nose is nutty with wheat, spicy yeast, light citrus, and biscuit. The flavor is wheat with light citrus, lightly spicy hops, and biscuit. The body is medium with lively carbonation and a short finish that has flavors of yeast, lemon, and light hops bitterness.

A: The pour is a turbid/hazy pale golden color with a finger’s worth of white head. Served with a slice of lemon, unfortunately. S: The nose, surprisingly, starts off with clove and banana notes. There’s a definite wheat character, too, almost a raw wheat thing going on. Not a very good nose, but not horrendous. T: This is probably too bitter for a hefeweizen, but it’s not overwhelming. There’s a decent clove flavor, but not really any banana, and not really too sweet. Lightly tart at points and a definite straw flavor on the finish. M: The body is medium and so is the carbonation. D: I guess I’ve had worse brewpub hefeweizens, but this wasn’t all that great either.

Hazy light golden color/ fleeting white head. Lemon slice and mild tart pale wheat aromas. frothy light mouthfeel. Grainy bready pale wheat flavor with very mild banana.
