Kind of an under the radar beer, I missed this one in previous visits to Eugene. A delicious little porter that is on the lighter side, but has some catching flavor, with a bit of a hoppy bite that I was not expecting. Chocolate flavors become more evident as it warms. A great Porter that poured deep bark brown. Had a very light flavor with a stornghint of Hops at the end. Could find some chocolate that finished with the beer. Nice beer. DarkElf (3062) - La Jolla, California, USA - SEP 3, 2005
(Draft: Steelhead Brewing Company in Eugene, OR) This is a pretty light porter. It’s somewhat dry and roasty to start, turning a bit sweeter with a prominent chocolate maltiness in the finish. The nose is quite chocolaty and roasty. Medium "plus" body, but carbonation levels are a bit low, so it’s a bit lifeless on the palate. Dark brown color through the center of the glass, but a ruddy light brown at the edges. Pours with absolutely no head, just a few large bubbles at the edge of the glass. I like it okay, but just not very inspirational. BeerLimey (2154) - California, USA - AUG 11, 2005
Dark reddish brown, opaque appearance. Mild cocoa, nutty aroma. Well pronounced chocolate, dark chocolate nutty flavor. Sham (1844) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 9, 2005
Brown or dark mahogany with a light brown head and spotty lacing. Chocolate and roasted malts in the nose. There is a woody aroma, cedar maybe. Bitter hops are about. The same woodiness and malts from the nose show up in the flavor. Hops are bitter with some floral qualities. Creamy and sticky palates finishing with dark malts.

Not too much head. Very big roasted, chocolate flavor. Very dark coloration. Aroma was also very chocolaty. One of my favorite porters. duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 3, 2004
Pretty heavy on the cookie dough. Lightly roasted, dry-ish, pretty decent porter.
