2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
A hazy orange beer with a small white head. Aroma is malty and spicy, not very noticeable pumpkin. Taste is also malty, spicy. Some pumpkin, but not much. Medium to light body.
Draught in Burlingame. Clear copper with moderate-low white head that lingers. Taste is malt, with the pumpkin spice in the back. This style can go overboard on the spice, and they avoided that here. There is a carbonic bite in the back of the palate that is not pleasant and spiky. brokensail (16689) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 8, 2013
On tap @ Steelhead Burlingame. Hazed orange pour with a white head. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and toasted malt on the nose. A touch of vanilla, clove, and ginger. Nice sweetness to the flavor. Lots of toasted malt, bread, and caramel. Good spicy cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove character, too. A bit watery on the palate. AleDrinker (1089) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - NOV 4, 2007
Big Thanksgiving style ale here. Not much pumpkin aroma as I would expect (this is a good thing) but plenty of nutmeg in the aftertaste. Overall the beer is pretty smooth with a clean finish, just with some extra nutmeg.
