Good beer but not really an IPA. There is so much malt that I would classify this more as an Amber? Either way its good. Bold Centennial hop aroma is citrusy and a bit spicy. Plenty of caramel in there to balance the malt. Very flavorful and aromatic brew here. Quite complex, there’s a lot going on. Medium bodied with lingering bitter finish. harlequinn (2744) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - MAY 27, 2006
I would not exactly call this an IPA, more of a beefed up APA, but has a substantial malt background that tastes like a steelhead beer. Nutty, with some light fruits shining through with a subtle but lingering hop tinge, that is just unbalanced. Too bad the beers just are not what they used to be since Jaime left. Cloudy amber with a spotty head and no lace. Malty with a bitter hop presence in the aromas. Some fruity tones of sweet gummibears. Flavors are mostly bitter and fruity with some nuts. Caramel malts are about as well. Mouth feel is prickly with a finish of nutty malts and bitter hops.

Hazy orange brown color, creamy head. Nose of citrusy "c" hops & sweet malts, low attenuation. The flavor is well balanced with a sweet malty base that really excels this.
on tap in eugene. solid ipa, quite a sweet doughy aroma, not much bitterness but pleasant, slighty sticky, floral finish

Really well made. Quite hoppy, floral lychee, some biscuity carmel malts, really well made.
very hoppy aroma with a hint of Apricot, light orange pale color. The taste is great, hoppy with a little bitterness and Apricot essence, smooth palate. beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - MAY 8, 2004
Pours a cloudy dark amber with a small white head. Aroma of hops and citurs (orange peel?). Tasted nice and citrusy and ended a bit bitter. Crisp and refressing.
