The beer had the typical bok bier look. The color is brown with an orange glow but also almost ruby red. I can’t clearly see what color it is. The beer is very clear. The beer pours a perfect amount of soft white foam. After the bulk of the foam has disappeared, a nice drape of foam remains on top of the beer. The beer has an appetizing smell. The smell has a strong almost aroma. There is also a bitter roast aroma, as well as a caramel aroma. Bitterness and sweetness are in good balance. The beer also had a fresh aroma, of fruits. This is very nice. The taste is also great. There is a strong alcohol flavor. Also the tiny roast and the almonds are present in the taste, as well as a delicious sweet caramel flavor. Again, bitter and sweet are balanced very well. niquillis (2752) - Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 4, 2015

Een niet heel erg goede bock. Wat waterig en verder weinig smaak. Komt lang niet in de buurt bij zijn soortgenoten van Hertog Jan en La Trappe. TtV (458) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - OCT 24, 2015
Bottle 33cl. Dark brown, dark red. Little head, almost no Co2. Sweetish aroma with hints of malt, chocolate and gruit. The taste is sweet with a warm glow of alcohol. The gruit is present in the aftertaste. SimonBlok (599) - GRONINGEN, NETHERLANDS - OCT 20, 2015
Bottle at home. Pours red-brown with tan head, which dissipates quite fast. Aroma: bread, caramel, cinnamon, coffee. Taste: high sweetness with little bitterness. Finish has notes of caramel, coffee, brown sugar, raisin. Carbonation is soft, texture is a little creamy and sticky.
