Stegmaire’s been brewing excellent beers for 150 years now. So our award winning brew master is celebrating by bringing you Steg 150 - a full bodied, all malt lager with pure copper color and no adjuncts. The finest noble hops give it a slight floral aroma, and with a nice rounded malt finish. Steg 150 is honestly one of the best all malt lagers ever. Enjoy! Here’s to another 150!

It poured a dark amber with a good sized light tan head. I expected a strong heavy malted drink from the color. It was much lighter bodied than I expected, more like a Vienna in the title. It was crisp and refreshing, words I normally write about a good Pilsner. It was well balanced with a light malt aftertaste.

For the malt-heads out there. It sort of reminded of cheap beer, powerful cheap beer. Although, the Steg was a bit lighter, which made it much more palatable.

Where can I obtain this in the Boston, MA area? I am looking to use a ’150’ beer to celebrate the 150th anniversary of an event. Thanks.

Sometimes I worry when the bottle says "all-malt" because it implies that we would think it WASN’T all-malt. This is not just a normal crappy macro lager though, it’s a good bit darker and has a different flavor. I’m using "different’ because I’m not sure if it’s good yet, but I have 2 more in the fridge so I will find out. It will be a BOLD EXPERIMENT.

Overall Impression: Definitely a solid lager style beer, smooth and enjoyable, nothing particularly distinguishable about it, but it drinks nicely.

Bottle, thanks to Mei. Caramel pour. Syrupy sweet malt aroma, maybe some sweet oats. Flavor is the same, mostly sweet, with the grain and oats in the background. Somewhat crisp finish, maybe a little floral hops.

Transfering from notes. Bottle. Copper pour with a medium white head. Aroma is of sweet malt with some hops in the background. Taste is caramel, sweet malt and some mild hops.

Solid. The aroma was overloaded w/ malts and subtle hops. It’s appearance is a dark amber color. It’s flavor is heavy malt and sublte hops, it ends curiosly with a sweetness, possibly fruit or sugars. This rather smooth. A nice session beer.

this was a decent beer. Easy drinking and fairly smooth. Very average .

Bottle from Capone’s. Medium copper with 2-finger off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, hops, spices, and mild funk. Tastes caramel malty, with noble hops, some toffee, and some honey notes in the finish. Not bad.
