Bottle. Poured a clear amber color with very little head. I thought the aroma was very malty with hints of caramel and bread. The beer had a light body, thin texture, soft carbonation, and a pleasant long finish. The flavor follows the aroma closely. Overall, I really liked this beer. I am not much of a Bock fan, but this one has a good blend of ingredients. I would definately drink this again. Slipstream (2625) - USA - JUL 13, 2009
Smiling goat on label. Dark amber pour with light foam topper. Sweet, malty aroma with a touch of yeast. Flavor of caramel and sweet malt, easy on the hops. Not too light or boring, and with a hint of Belgium in there too. This was better than expected, an enjoyable PA bock. unclemike (3124) - Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA - JUL 11, 2009
sample atthe brewery Light brown-orange with a thin film of off-white head. Mild caramelly malt aroma with hints of herbal hoppiness. Buttery caramel and slightly spicy herbal hop flavors. Residual malty sweetness, some astringency as the sweetness fades. Mouthfeel is medium light, almost sticky NJBeerman013 (1054) - Hamilton Twp., New Jersey, USA - JUL 10, 2009
Bottle. Pours a burnt amber in color with a big creamy head. The aroma is very malty, notes of honey and doughy bread. Flavor is very sweet, somewhat fruity, extremely malty, floral. Body is thick and rich, but not too heavy. Probably much better drinking in the cooler months and not when it is 85 degrees out. Blah. A terrible dunkler bock. Aroma was very weak. Smelled like a dirty cave. Pour was a flat light brown with no bubbles/head. Taset was thin and weak. No real taste in the front then this weird roasted caramel malt comes on in the aftertaste. Very weird beer. No carbonation and barely drinkable.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an orange-brown color with a huge dark tan head. The aroma was sour, nutty and fruity with touches of caramel. The flavor was tangy, malty, sour and nutty with a fruity undertone and hints of chocolate and sourdough bread. The finish was long, sour, tangy and fruity. Decent. crazyvin (2026) - New York, USA - MAY 21, 2009
BoM. 12 ounce bottle. A light brown hue with an off-white head that had good retention. Beer had a thin look to it. Aroma had good bread like note to it as well as some caramel note to it. It also had a flat cherry-coke like vibe to it. Flavor had good malt notes to it mostly bread but there was a nice roasted quality to it. Finish was smooth and the beer seemed to have a little more body to it then the appearance seemed to indicate. alexsdad06 (10400) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 6, 2009
12 oz bottle from Tmoney99. Pours a clear reddish amber with a small off white head. The aroma is sweet malt, caramel, slight earthy hops, and a slight off odor (metal?). The flavor is sweet caramel malt, light roast, light earthy hops, with some bready character. Very smooth with light carbonation. Not bad. Lowe1983 (1594) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - APR 13, 2009
Pours a darker amber color with an off-white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts and slight roasted malts. Flavor is similar with some dark fruits as well. Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 31, 2009
From bottle. Light roasty caramel aroma, with a bit of sourish tang. Light hoppy character but mostly a bit sweet. Not very rich. Dark amber clear with thin off-white lacing head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation. Starts sweet and stays that way, with roasted malt and quite a bit of caramel. Not too much hoppy bitterness, but more of a light nutty astringent bitterness. Sweet finish and after.
