This is a beautiful reasonably-priced IPA that you can drink without hopping out. It is golden and clear, has a great lasting head. It is not overly hopped and has a fine floral hop, as well. There are no off flavors or aroma. This is a very drinkable beer. Streets (29) - New York, New York, USA - JUN 19, 2015
Labeled Lionshead at Albion on 2nd ave. was super excited to support the WB. Brings me back to those happy days of Lionshead where they opened both my palate and my mind. This has a wonderful Amber color but not too much aroma coming off of it. I blame the glass. However it was poured with a perfect head so hard off to the ’tender. A sharp bite of hops followed by a slightly malty finish. Would drink this every day if I was still in the burg. BroadestTom (446) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 7, 2015
Aroma not good. Can’t put my finger on it.
Appearance amber, hazy, frothy,
Taste lightly bitter,
Palate light body, oily feel,
Overall I’m not suggesting this beer to anyone DocLock (10830) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 11, 2014
bottle. Pours copper with off-white head. Caramel malt and hops in the nose, with a malt forward flavor paired with subdued hops and some tropical fruit flavors. OK, not great. DandyWolfFloyd (1212) - Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 28, 2014
Aroma - oily smelling hops, but not strong
Appearance - body is a red amber; liquid is clean and clear; head is about 1 1/2" and white decent head retention. Nice lacing
Taste - the hops aren't really aggressive they taste a little stale, the malt body is not very complimentary.
Palate - body is medium; texture is approaching oily; carbonation is average; finish is a bit stale strong hops, likely Centennials.
Palate - body

Bottle, screw-top. Caramel malt and a touch of spaghetti sauce in the nose, dough. Pours hazy amber-orange with a soapy beige head. Taste is sweet with mild bitterness, there’s some mild hoppy fruitiness but not much. Tends rather toward bland and faded etoh-transmission vehicle, unfortunately. Slightly floral, a little grassy/even vegetal, full body with a touch of alcohol showing. It does have a firm backbone, but very little flesh. nuplastikk (6358) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 21, 2014
12oz bottle. Orange-tan body. Lots of carbonation bubbles rising to meet a big, foamy, soapy, off-white head. A little old school certainly, but still a decent IPA. Chewy malt tones and a mellow piny grapefruit hop flavor. Fruity English yeast tones. Can’t compete with the World Class beers, but is still an enjoyable, well made beer. coyforce (684) - California, USA - SEP 29, 2013
Flavor is just right for this IPA. I don’t know why it receives such bad reviews....maybe the formula was changed. boxofrane (2553) - Spring City, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 19, 2013
Bottle. Pours clear orange with a medium white head. The aroma is citrus and citrus alone.. orange mostly. The taste is fairly malty. There is grapefruit, caramel, a bit of a bitter finish, and maybe some honey. OK. Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - JUL 21, 2013
September 2012. Bottle. Orange/amber color with a white head. Malty aromas with caramel and some pine. Flavors are muted and not really in balance. The finish is flat and boring. Move on....
