On tap at some Mex place in Center City, Philly. Pretty average IPA, especially considering the various local offerings available elsewhere. Golden orange pour with vigorous carbonation. Strong malt component in the nose, along with bitter hops, only a trace of fruit notes. Mouthfeel a trace syrupy. Decently refreshing in places, but the whole came across as a bit too slick and sweet. Garbageman (487) - Lexington, South Carolina, USA - JAN 29, 2013
From bottle. Pours hazy orange with lacing. Aroma was malty and grassy. Taste follows with straw and earth. A little musty. Stevesie (336) - - JAN 7, 2013
Single bottle. Pours orange with small head. Some hops in the nose; taste is straw and skunk. Fairly light body; decent kick. Mediocre at best. DCLawyer (2846) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - DEC 24, 2012
Draft. Light orange with white head. Aroma of hops and citrus, subdued. Taste is primarily burnt hops. Poor attempt at IPA. Chudwick (3274) - Taylor Mill, Kentucky, USA - NOV 17, 2012
12oz bottle - pours amber/orange with a finger of off white head and modest lacing. Nose is floral and straw. Flavor adds caramel. Light bitterness. Watery. Weak for the style but the high ABV might change my mind.

Draft Barn, Brooklyn tap ($6): Purchased this as Lionshead IPA, but this appears to be the same beer according to my research, but if not, please correct me. Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is bland and normal IPA. Taste is attenuated IPA. There ain’t nothing in here that you wouldn’t or shouldn’t expect. JesseinVT (12) - BurlingtonCtB, Vermont, USA - SEP 3, 2012
Overall, not bad nor great. 16oz/473ml can purchased 9/3/12 City Market, Burlington, VT, $4.99/4pk. First time I've seen anything from this label (Stegmaier) or brewery (Lion) from Wilkes-Barre, PA. Light hop smell and clear, light amber color which is lighter than most current IPAs. Cream-white head, substantial lacing. Fairly hop-forward, more citrusy than floral and on the bitter side. Some alcohol warmth, 6.7%ABV listed. Would buy again but would not seek it out either.

Pint can. Would file this under "not terrible." Pours amber/gold with a big fluffy white head. Citrus aromas that seem to be a bit off. Taste is fairly hop forward but without much character, just a lot of bitterness. It’s dry though, which is how I prefer my IPAs. You do get an aftertaste that tastes a little wet dog/skunky. For the price I’d definitely buy this over many other lower end beers. Radek Kliber (7470) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - AUG 13, 2012
