2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Meh... a very average pumpkin beer. Aroma was very weak for the style. Pumpkin pie spice mixed with a weird cleansing chemical smell. Pour was a nice autumny medium brown with a thin off white film for a head. Taste was alright. The big spice here is cinnamon and it comes out more as it warms. The rest of the typical spices are there and gone in a disappointing watery finish. Not much lingering flavors after the swallow. Nice strong carbonation.
12oz bottle. Poured an amberish color with a smaller sized head. I like my pumpkin beers with pumpkin and less spices. I would say this one was all about the pumpkin spices - so if you like that, then try this. DocLock (10706) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 21, 2015
Bottle from Wegman’s. Pours copper with off-white head. Nose is pumpkin, very spicy, with nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom. Tastes very spicy, with decent pumpkin flavor. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 21, 2014
This poured an orange color with a white head. Aroma was of cinnamon and apple spice. Flavor similar, light nutmeg, no pumpkin or.really much beer character behind it at all. N3lson1 (1005) - Long Valley, New Jersey, USA - AUG 28, 2014
Drank from a twelve ounce bottle. Aromas way too strong of pumpkins and the taste also very overpowering of pumpkins. I love pumpkin beers but I want to feel as if I am drinking a beer and not drinking a pumpkin. Darkmagus82 (2302) - - AUG 9, 2014

Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance – Pours a nice amber-orange color. Upon pouring there was a one finger white head. The head faded very fast to leave a thin persistent film and only a tiny amount of lacing on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The smell is big of a nutmeg and cinnamon spice smell. Mixed with the spice, are other spices of some clove and a light amount of allspice (all quite classic pumpkin pie). Along with all the spice is a sweeter pumpkin aroma with some lighter notes of a brown sugar smell.
Taste – The flavor begins with roasted malt and pumpkin. With these is a very light sweetness up front that fades as the taste goes on. Initially only a lighter spice flavor is present, but it soon comes on strong. In the middle a huge cinnamon and nutmeg flavor comes to the tongue. They are quite potent and grow even stronger more toward the end. With the growing strength of the spice, some more pumpkin comes to the tongue. In the end the spice actually becomes a bit too robust with the cinnamon and nutmeg leaving their mark on the tongue producing, when mixed with the roasted pumpkin, a somewhat off taste on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of thickness with a carbonation level that is rather average as well.
Overall – The taste is just a bit too spiced and lacks a balance of sweetness with the spice and roast. Nothing too exciting for me here.

Bottle. Pours copper orange with a medium off-white head. Aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg and light pumpkin. Flavor of pumpkin pie, cinnamon, nutmeg and caramel. Leafs93 (2305) - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 31, 2013
Pours hazy burnt Orange with a small off white head. Aroma is caramel, pumpkin pie and cinnamon. Taste is sweet with a touch of spiciness. Medium bodied with slight touch of stickiness. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 24, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear orange body with a one finger fizzy off-white head that faded pretty quickly. The nose is overloaded with spices, tons of cinnamon and nutmeg, some lesser vanilla. Not a whole lot of pumpkin, but there is some. The flavor is pretty well what I was expecting from the aroma, very spicy with a slight caramel sweetness. The flavor more hints at pumpkin pie rather than showing off a whole lot of pumpkin flavor. Rather thin body, fizzy prickly carbonation. Lacking in body and actual pumpkin flavor, this pretty well sums up what gives Pumpkin Beers a bad rap. reggiedunlop (3725) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 23, 2013
Pours a clear caramel/amber with a medium white head. Aroma has nice fall spices, a touch of caramel and mild doughy notes. Flavor follows suit and adds a nice touch of earthy hops. Mouthfeel is full and the finish is fall spices lingering to dry leaves/earthy hops. Really fairly decent as the non-imperial pumpkins go. chinchill (5025) - South Carolina, USA - OCT 16, 2013
Undated 12 oz bottle served in a snifter.
Pours clear, orange-copper color with a modest and weak bone-colored head.
Spices are more subtle than in many pumpkin beers. There is a clear suggestion of pumpkin pie along with a pronounced caramel malt component. Sweet but not cloying.
Feel: Light-medium body seems too thin; Medium, prickly carbonation. Slight heat from the cinnamon.
O: A tasty and solid pumpkin ale, but not up with the best of style.
