Steinlager® is a lager with a distinctive grassy note and clean crisp bitterness of green bullet hops. It is balanced with a dry, astringent finish.

Poured from 330ml bottle into pint glass. Appearance: pours a sudsy thick white head which gradually recedes leaving decent lacing. Color is a clear light gold with abundant streaming carbonation. Aroma: initially a bit of skunk (green bottle), once this dissipated remaining aroma is a combination of pungent grassy hops and sweet bread dough. Mouthfeel: light and frothy with a drying finish. Flavor: nice combination of lightly toasted barley, a hint of caramel and toffee, strong grass hop presence as well as some bitter hops in the finish. Overall: excellent and well done pale lager. Would like to try it from a can or on tap to see if the initial skunk is not present.

Is this Bud packaged under New Zealand label? Bit of a stale/rotten aroma. Cheap sweetness, followed by water aftertaste. Suspiciously similar to Budweiser.

Blonde pour with a thin head. Nice hops aroma, crisp hops taste with grass notes. Nice lager in my opinion

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht malzig, getreidig, leicht süß. Geschmack wässrig, leicht malzig getreidig, minimal herb.

On tap a the local pub. Very drinkable when not poured from the bottle. Some malt flavours and a mild hop bitterness.

Minimal aroma. Pale yellow complexion; also filtered so it’s very transparent. Light crisp taste; hardly any flavour and only slightly hopped. Dry metallic after taste. Not a great beer but as far as mainstream beer goes it’s passable. Definitely best enjoyed on a hot day

OLD NOTES OCT 9, 2003 World’s best lager...hardly. Smelled a tad bit weird and that kinda same out in the after taste. Standard stuff.

biokid23 (102) - California, USA - FEB 20, 2014
Standard pale lager, light skunk, grassy, nothing else. Same and boring. As it is a lager, it is nice and drinkable.

Pour is Clear and light with a small white head. Flavor is smooth. Aroma is a bit grassy. Nothing special but not half bad for a lager

MarkoNm (2880) - Novo mesto, SLOVENIA - FEB 1, 2014
UPDATED: JUL 20, 2015 Pours a clean golden color and topping it is about two finger of white head which dissipates quite quickly. There is the familiar mild hoppy aroma with perhaps some grains complementing it. The taste is light, crisp. Some initial (mils) sweetness is followed by a nicely balanced body with slightly bitter finish. Nothing special about this one, just your typical refreshing and drinkable lager.
