Clear yellow with a low white head. Malty, with some citrus and honey aromas. Brief hop finish, light palate. Medium carbonation. Quite ok pale lager.

Very crisp taste, make sure you have out of super cold glass to experience the full bodied flavour of New Zealands finest lager.

An absolute stunner, as a NZ man, this is right up with one of the top NZ beers. A great pour in a cup with a firm head, has a crisp clean finish with an every so slightly bitter tang at the end. A real mens drink!

F: snow-white, huge, good retention. C: pale gold, clear. A: malt, light grassy, hint of caramel, bready, grainy, corn. T: malt, grassy, floral, hint of caramel, clear taste, light to medium body, medium to high carbonation, slightly better than average macro, 0,33l bottle from local supermarket in Nadi in Fiji.

330ml bottle. Clear, pale, golden, frothy white head. Little aroma, very crisp taste with slightly bitter finish. Ok

LazyPyro (1130) - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 9, 2016
330ml bottle. Pale clear straw colour with a small white head, fairly good retention. Aroma: slightly sweet malt, grassy hops. Taste: sweetish malts, slightly fruity citrus hops, a light hoppy bitterness. Overall quite pleasant for a lager, clean, crisp, and wasn’t skunked. Medium carbonation, light body, thin texture, dryish finish. Yeah, not a bad lager at all.

Originally rated on 7/18/08. Curse of the green bottle strikes again! As soon as i opened this one i was hit by the skunkiest smell ever from a beer. Upon pouring a standard looking lager, medium carbonation with a small head. Flavor was rather bland, i wont buy one of these again.

How can anyone who takes beer seriously put it in a green bottle when they KNOW it will skunk as soon as it sees the light of day. Especially a lightly flavoured beer like a lager. Should be a criminal offence. Anyway - I remembered this much more fondly than I do now after tasting again. Simple lager with clean crisp finish when it hasn’t gone off in the bottle. Too hit and miss and too simple to waste time on having again. Lawn mowing beer at best.

750 ml bottle. Maybe bottled on 27/05/15. From a store at the hotel lobby. Honolulu, HI.
Clear golden color with a small white head. Earthy and somewhat dark malty aroma. The flavor is malt, earth, mild grassy dryness and rice. This is like a tropical country lager. Worse than the Miller Lite I just had.

2.7
eduardovl (1431) - SWITZERLAND - OCT 4, 2015
330ml bottle served in a pint glass. Pours a pale yellow color forming a big and light creamy white head with good retention and tons of lingering and soapy lacings left in the glass. Strong notes of sweet pale malts in the nose. Grassy and citrus hops. Cardboard. Slightly sweet upfront mouth. Again, very malty, biscuity and crispy. Medium hops bitterness. Grassy and citrus hops profile. Hints of cardboard and resin. Light body and medium carbonation. Grassy aftertaste. Average drinkability.
