Fizzy soft damp sock smell. In the mouth lots of fizzy carbonation that tries to make you ignore the skunky sourness. Very little bitterness, just more damp sock on the aftertaste. Good example of the New Zealand light-lager style. There might have been a hop waved somewhere around the brewing vat, at some stage.

Bottle in Sydney. Backlog rating from bottle collection and historic scoring. No tasting notes kept, just rating.

R4N5H (1373) - NETHERLANDS - SEP 20, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 23, 2017 On tap at Boomerang Bar & Bistro, Singapore on 18-Sep-2017. Hazy blonde colour with a medium sized white head. Aroma of grain, malt and hops. Light to medium body and carbonation. Taste of grain, malt, bread, citrus, and hops. Light bitterness - bittersweet fruity finish.

sccp1910 (292) - BRAZIL - MAR 18, 2017
UPDATED: MAR 20, 2017 Uma lager suave e refrescante. Sabor marcante do lúpulo, muito parecida com a Heineken. Cor amarelada e espuma branca.

Bottle in the Air New Zealand lounge. Clear with the color of the urine of a mildly dehydrated individual. Small, fading white head. Sweet grainy, bready aroma, some corn. Flavor is on the sweeter size, corny, grainy, mild grassy hops on the finish. Palate is weak, fizzy carbonation. Meh.

Ferris (17070) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 7, 2017
Bottle - Skunky grains. Clear gold with a rich white head. Light skunky grains and some sweetness. Very European, but not great.

Rubin77 (2741) - Brussels / Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - FEB 3, 2017
F: huge, white, average to good retention. C: pale gold, clear. A: malt, grassy, floral, light bread, hint of butter. T: malt, light floral, grassy, bread, straw, very clean taste, medium body, medium carbonation, not bad at all, refreshing beer, 330ml bottle from New World supermarket near airport in Nadi in Fiji.

explosivedog (1813) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 27, 2017
300ml can. Pours yellow with a thick white head. Sweet, grass, apricot, little acidity towards the end. Crisp, clean and pretty boring.

Piw (1290) - Rüsselsheim, GERMANY - DEC 30, 2016
330ml Flasche. Klar und golden mit großer Schaumkrone. Getreidig. Leichter Körper. Mild. Süßlich.

nybol (2439) - DENMARK - DEC 9, 2016
En noget kedelig pilsner, døje den er faktisk temmelig tynd. En billig øl der ikke er værd at drikke.

JPDIPSO (6298) - Wauwatosa, USA - SEP 27, 2016
Needed something pure (aside from sugar after the 3rd edition). Golden color. Diminished off-white head. Grain and floury aromas. Flavors follow, with a touch of perfume. At least it’s a small can. 12/10
