UPDATED: JAN 4, 2006 Bottle. Light yellow colour with an average size white head. Aroma is of straw and a little bit of flowers/perfume. Flavour is of light bread and grains - light bitterness with very light sweetness. Light body with average carbonation and a light bitter finish. Only slightly better on tap.

Pleasantly Surprising for a lager. Poured a clear gold with lots of bubbles and a nice bubbly white head that dissipated fairly quickly but left some nice lacing. Light on the nose - not much there, but not offensive. Started smooth, a little sweet, and ended with a decent amount of hoppiness. As a lager I was not expecting much - but think I will keep this on hand for those lager-heads out there.

Medium head that dissipated average. Could not detect much of an aroma (dissapointing for a Belgium). Golden color. First taste...very smooth, not sweet nor bitter. Slight hops, but not overwhelming like an IPA. To me, the finish is more sweet than bitter. This is an excellent Lager, if that’s what you like. I would definitelt buy this again if I had company (I live in the US where too many people are used to that Bud stuff), I think they would really like it.

Decent white head with great lacing. Plenty of carbonation also. Light gold in color. Slight hoppy aroma. Flavor is light and crisp. Finish is slightly dry and a little bitter.

Hazy yellow colour with white head and some good legs. Aroma is a bit grassy with a slight hint of pear. You know its a Stella from the smell. Fairly balanced if not too distinctive flavour. Overall not too bad.

On tap at the Hilltop Inn. Ephrata, PA. Served in an Artois glass, no less. Not much in the nose, I was expecting more hops. Beautiful golden color, thick, white, long-lasting head that left a wonderful lace down the glass. Great mouthfeel - full but not chewy. Mellow but rich malt flavor, balanced well by hops. Better on tap than in bottle.

A real surprise, and in a good way. Nice crisp aroma and a nice bitter finish for a lager. Slight sweetness in the finish that I foung interesting.

Run of the mill canned shelf tackle, but saying that it’s better than most. The bottom run of the Belgium ladder.

draught. Gold, medium carbonation, no head. Corny nose. Corn, sugar, cardboard, just noticeable level of hops. Nothing special here, just Belgian swill. Better than American swill though.

Stove (8) - Hamilton, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 21, 2005 does not count
Long-necked stubbie. Nice summery lager- pale straw colour. Light, grassy flavour with a little hop to it. "Premium Lager" it is. Not the best though- suffers in comparison to locally-brewed Heineken for starters
