A clear golden colour with quite a nice head for this style of beer. The aroma is basically insipid with nothing bad but nothing to recommend it either. It is clean and crisp on the palate and has just a vague hint of hop bitterness balanced by a mild sweetness. It finishes clean but unremarkable. Overall it doesn’t offend, it is better than some, but basically it’s BORING! I refuse to pay well over the price of a local lager just to be bored! UPDATED: JAN 18, 2005 Seems like a long way to go for a beer that is just like every boring domestic already here. I can’t think of one good reason to spend $1.50 more for this than an MGD, when I can’t think of a good reason to buy an MGD in the first place. Best thing I can say is it doesn’t take too long or involve much distraction to drink one. beastdog75 (364) - Brick, New Jersey, USA - JAN 15, 2005
Although sometimes referred to as a "Budweiser of Belgium," this is a decent pils type of brew. Had good pale maltiness to it, with some grassy/citric hop presence. Easy to drink. macguy (146) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JAN 11, 2005
This is a nice utility pils that is easy to drink. If I have friends along for a drink who don’t think they like Belgian beers, I give them this and they are totally comfortable. fraans (31) - ostend, BELGIUM - JAN 11, 2005
Along with Jupiler , this is the only ale worth bothering for in Belgium. No surprise they are both interbrew.
Nice beer for a night out, but only 2nd place here!!!

Good yellow golden pils. Clear pils nose. taste is clean, on the light side and ends with a hoppy touch. GuilTTy (733) - Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA - JAN 3, 2005
Gold color with a quickly disipating white head and very little lacing. Unpleasant aroma of skunk (and Heineken) with some hops. Flavor not unpleasant but not memorable. Very watery. Finish was fairly dry. This could be a fair warm weather lager but there are so many out there that are much better. r464 (2360) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 2, 2005
This is a very standard macro lager, nothing too different or special. Rather light and watery, fairly crisp, and thirst quenching when ice cold. I wouldn’t pay much for it, though. MillStreetMan (152) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 2, 2005
Well, for the most popular beer in the world, it’s a damn sight better than Bud or some other such garbage. It’s an acceptable beer that will always quench thirst without necessarily offering great satisfaction. It’s light and kind of perfumy, and is best drunk before getting to warm or else forget it. A stadard lager with a nice glass and more reputation than its counterparts. nick76 (4399) - Tampa, Florida, USA - DEC 31, 2004
UPDATED: DEC 17, 2005 Not my favorite Belgian beer but, it’s not bad. The aroma is slightly sweet and cheesy with a bitter hop reminiscent of medicine. The flavor has a malt that is like wheat and there is also a citrus like taste. Thin Palate.
