UPDATED: JUN 5, 2006 A very nice beer to have on tap. Goes down so smoothe. Stella Artois have a nice thick head of foam.

Light amber, clear. Fruity sweet, caramel. Quite dry. Caramel, decent, not that interesting. Quite thin.

Golden color with a decent head that lasts for about a minute and a half. The aroma of the brew really didn’t stand out. Some light skunk was present, along with some neutral light graininess/maltiness. The mouthfeel was crisp and moderately carbonated.

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2014 It is a soft pale lager, with low aroma, nice appearance with translucid aspect and refreshing.

Saying this beer is overrated is an understatement, but that’s what an advertising budget is made for, I suppose! Not a bad beer by any means, but certainly nothing special. Typical Euro lager profile, perhaps a bit more hoppy than others. Colour is almost nonexistent. Worth having every now and then, but how this beer manages to survive at its price point baffles me.

Like Corona and Heineken, the palate is dominated by bitterness and not much else. The funny thing is that I can tolerate this beer on some occasions, but if my palate has gotten some exercise (for example with wine or good beer) Stella comes of quite bitter and unenjoyable.

Pours to a small, white head with little action. Has a pleasant enough aroma, but taste does not overpower and is somewhat average. Doesn’t have any bitterness or aftertaste, so that’s good. Nothing special here.

brew4all (103) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - DEC 17, 2006
Crisp and hoppy with some descent flavor but very average and not really impressive. Good for those pick up a sixer on the way to the party beers.

Very nice when the weather is hot and the beer is cold. Good colour, and goes down the throat very easily.

I don't know why this beer is rated so low. I enjoyed this beer. I do think it's a little over-rated in my opinion.
